VUYLSTEKE, Roger M.
At London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus, on Sunday, February 13th, 2005. Roger M. VUYLSTEKE, age 69 of Saint Thomas, after a short illness, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family, went peacefully to meet his Lord. He leaves behind his wife, best friend and soul mate Gail (DAVIES) VUYLSTEKE and six children, Meacheal (Judy) of Guelph, Don (Denise) of Vienna, Terry (Penny), Tim (Karen), all of Tillsonburg, Sheri (Steve COPLAND) and Scott SCRIBNER (Lisa,) all of London. He was very proud of his 10 grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers, Ron (Fran) of Tillsonburg and Bob of Saint Thomas, in-laws, Brian and Marcie DAVIES and Lynn and Dave BENN, all of Saint Thomas, several nieces and nephews and many Friends he touched along the way.
He grew up in Langton, Fairground and Tillsonburg before settling in Saint Thomas. He was a transport driver for 50 years and then devoted himself to volunteering at Holy Angels' Roman Catholic Church and with the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 153, Tillsonburg and was a past president of the Elgin County Dream Cruisers, which used their car cruise nights to raise funds for the Make-a-Wish Foundation. Roger was an avid dart player and golfer. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, Saint Thomas on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Angels' Roman Catholic Church, St. Thomas on Thursday at 10 a.m. Following cremation, private interment in Holy Angels' Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to Holy Angels' Restoration Fund or charity of one's choice. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Wednesday at 8: 30 p.m.

THURSTON, Sue Joanne (née PHILLIPS)
In loving memory of Sue Joanne THURSTON (née PHILLIPS) May 22, 1939 to May 12, 2005, who passed away at the age of 65 years. Sue was a resident of Straffordville, formerly of Little Current. Daughter of the late Willard PHILLIPS and the former Thelma (BENJAMIN) PHILLIPS. Beloved wife of the late Pete THURSTON (May 13, 2001.) Loving mother of Chris and his wife Brenda, Tim and his fiance Vicky, Rick and his wife Joanne and Penny and her husband Terry VUYLSTEKE. Proud grandmother of Jawni-Lynn, Jayme, Cole, Ben, Michael and Makenna. She will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother and grandmother. We will miss her loving spirit, caring support and Friendship. Sue was strong and loyal who always had time for her family, Friends and community. She will be fondly remembered. Her final resting place will be at Smuck Cemetery in Bayham Township. In accordance with her wishes there will be no funeral or visitation. We would like you to remember Sue in your own way. VUYLSTEKE, Robert " Bob"
Suddenly at his winter residence, Panama City, Florida, Robert (Bob) VUYLSTEKE passed away December 4, 2005 at the age of 67. Survived and sadly missed by his brother Ronald (Frances) VUYLSTEKE of Fairground and sister-in-law Gail VUYLSTEKE, Saint Thomas. Bob was born March 20, 1938, the son of the late Arthur VUYLSTEKE and the late former Irene ALLERY, Fairground. Also predeceased by his brother Roger M. VUYLSTEKE, February 13, 2005. During his adult years Bob was a self employed businessman living in the Saint Thomas and Tillsonburg areas. Much loved uncle of 7 nieces and nephews, several great-nieces and great-nephews as well as several cousins. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Bob's life will take place at a later date.

At Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care, London on Sunday, November 15, 2005 E. Beatrice (CHRISTIAN) O'SHAY/SHEA of London in her 96th year. Dear mother of Nancy FLYNN and her husband Peter of London and Kathleen CZAP and her husband Ted of Windsor. Also loved by her grandchildren, Michael and Margaret FLYNN, Kathleen and Martin ABEL, Kyle and Mary FLYNN, James and Janet FLYNN, John and Shellie FLYNN, Anne-Louise and Tony DE VUYST, Mark FLYNN, Matthew and Michelle CZAP and Vincent CZAP and her great grandchildren, Erin and Julie, Arlie and Jared, Carilyn and Kristen, Laura and Lisa, Brieuc and Justin, Natlie, Benjamin and Jacob. Friends will be received by the family, at Saint Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 46 Cathcart Street, London, one hour prior to the mass being celebrated on Wednesday, November 16th, 2005 at 12 noon. Entombment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery and Holy Family Mausoleum, London.
