McCLYMONT,
William
Alfred
William Alfred
McCLYMONT passed peacefully from this life in
the afternoon of Wednesday, 15th June at Mt. St. Joseph's Hospital,
Vancouver.
Predeceased by his wife
Corrine
McCLYMONT, he is survived
by son Boyd of Vancouver and sister Muriel of Victoria.
Born in Hazelridge, Manitoba in 1921, Al served as First Lieutenant
in the Canadian Army and Royal Canadian Air Force during the
Second World War. After returning to civilian life, he completed
undergraduate and graduate degrees at United College and the
University of Manitoba. In 1957 he married pianist and fellow
educator, Corinne Violet
DAY.
After the birth of their son in
1966, the family resettled in Vancouver in 1968, where he and
his son remained. Suffering the loss of his wife Corinne in 1970,
Al devoted his life to the bringing up of his son. A kind, caring
and selfless humanitarian, he will be dearly missed by those
whose life he touched. Special thanks to the staff of M.S.J.
Hospital and Windermere Care Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations
to a charity of choice would be greatly appreciated.
