McSHANE, Wayne Thomas, M.D.
Peacefully at home with his family by his side on September 24, 2005. He died as he lived, with grace and dignity. He was 63. Wayne, beloved husband of Elaine (MOUNTJOY.) Loving father of Julie (Mike FENTON) of Toronto; Heather (Scott HUNTER) of Toronto Valerie (Matthew HORWOOD) of Georgetown. Cherished son of Tom and Buella McSHANE, Kingston; dear brother of Jim McSHANE (Janice,) Kingston. Proud grandfather of Erin, Matthew, Graeme, and Mae. As a physician with the Brampton East Medical Group, Wayne faithfully served his community for 37 years. As a member of the Field Botanists of Ontario, he was an avid botanist and photographer with a special interest in native Ontario wildflowers, especially orchids. He was a voracious reader with a wide range of interests. His life was a journey, not a destination, and he lived it one day at a time. Friends may call at the Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main St. S., Brampton (905-451-2124) on Friday, September 30 from 6-9 p.m. The memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at St. Paul's United Church, 30 Main St. S., Brampton on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at 10: 30 with a reception to follow. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Frontier College or the Nature Conservancy of Canada (Ontario Region).

RICHARDSON, Anita Julia (formerly FRASER, née MAKSYMIU)
Peacefully on Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at Kingston General Hospital, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Robert Russell "Russ" FRASER and the late Henry Alexander "Harry" RICHARDSON. Loving mother of Donald, Robert "Bob" and Claire FRASER, daughters-in-law Gillian and Vicki and loving stepmother of Peter RICHARDSON and his wife Eleanor. Sadly missed by grandchildren Stephen and his wife Sarah, Sandra and her husband Jeff, Gordon and his wife April, Rusty, Angie, Michael, Lori and great-grandchildren Shaina, Brieanna, Maddison and Camden. Daughter of the late Andrew and Marie MAKSYMIU and sister of the late Michael MAKSYMIU. Remembered by sisters-in-law Margaret MAKSYMIU, June SHAVER and her husband Harvey, several nieces, nephews and dear Friends. Family will receive Friends at the Weaver Family Funeral Home, 170 Dundas St. West, Trenton on Saturday, May 7th from 2-4 p.m., Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and again on Monday from 12: 30-1:30 p.m. at St. George's Church. Service will take place on Monday, May 9th at 1: 30 p.m. at St. George's Church, the Ven. James McSHANE officiating. Interment St. George's Cemetery. Anita received her nursing degree at an early age of 20 and was one of very few women to receive her pilot's license at the age of 21 years. She moved to Trenton permanently in 1955. She was President of the Royal Canadian Air Force Guild 1960, Commander of Squadronettes, Royal Canadian Air Force Trenton Power Squadron 1963, Educational Director for the Cancer Society from 1962-1965, and was Senior Nurse and Supervisor until 1963 at T.M.H. Anita also was the Trenton High School Nurse from 1963-1975, Chairman of the hospital Auxiliary Bridge Club, President of the Trenton P.C. Women's Association from 1982-1984, Vice President of the Ontario P.C. Women's Association in 1982 and until 2003 she was active at the Trenton Curling Club and has served as Chairman and President of the Ladies' Curling League and former Director of the Trenton Country Club. The family would like to espress their sincere gratitude for the care given by the staff at Kingston General Hospital and Anita's homecare team. Peacefully at rest with Jesus. Loving mother of Trevor. Dear daughter of Bridie and the late John. Beloved sister of Marilyn and the late Violet and Carol. Also missed by her partner John. Dearly loved aunt of twelve nieces and nephews and great-aunt of six. Fondly remembered by close family Friends. Will be sadly missed by all. Visitation will be held at Washington and Johnston Funeral Home, 717 Queen Street East, parking behind funeral home off Broadview Avenue, 416-465-3577 on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2005. Cremation followed by interment in Holy Cross Cemetery will occur at a later date.

In hospital at Carleton Place, Ontario on Sunday, November 6, 2005 in his 87th year, Loving husband of Mary Elizabeth "Betty" for 61 years. Father of David (Donna,) Carol MURRAY, Donna PALARDI (Ken,) Joanne FROST (David PEAKE,) and Catherine DALZIEL (Robert.) Grandfather of Lauren, Kristen and Michael FROST, Ryan, Scott and Robert MURRAY, Elizabeth FROST, Bronwyn and David DALZIEL. Great-grandfather of Hayle MURRAY. Survived by his sister Marion EDISON. Predeceased by his sister Carol McSHANE. Friends may call at the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, Ontario on Thursday from 12 noon until time of memorial service to be held in the chapel at 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
