Peacefully at Sumac Lodge, with family by her side, on March 21, 2005 in her 82nd year Hazel (NORTHCOTT) EVOY. Loving mother of Wayne and Joyce EVOY, Bryan and Linda EVOY, Kathryn and Victor TETREAULT, Larry and Karen EVOY and Gary and the late Shirley EVOY (SOUCY.) Deeply missed by 15 grandchildren, Tammy and Ken LARGE, Michelle EVOY, Crystal EVOY, Jessica EVOY, Jocelyn EVOY, Stacey and Brian EVOY- SMITH, Kelly EVOY, Mike and Jan TETREAULT, Jodi and Jon KUTZ, Kris and April TETREAULT, Cory TETREAULT and friend Kandace, Victor TIPPER, Kody EVOY, Allison EVOY and Colleen EVOY. Along with 11 great-grandchildren. Beloved sister of Murray and Bette NORTHCOTT, Karen NORTHCOTT, Abby NORTHCOTT and Richard BURRELL of Dresden, Earl and Cheryl NORTHCOTT of Chatham. She will be missed greatly by many nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law Helen YEAGER and Elda SWAN. Predeceased by mother and father: Roy and Verna (SHAW) NORTHCOTT, former husband William EVOY, sisters Lois BURRELL and Phyllis TUNSTILL, brothers Donald NORTHCOTT, and Lloyd NORTHCOTT and niece Penny DAUGHERTY.
Born on the family farm in Dresden, Hazel worked at Zeller's for 25 years until her retirement. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2005 at 1: 00 p.m. from Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. Cremation will follow. Interment of ashes will be in the Dresden Cemetery at a later date. Friends will be received at the Smith Funeral Home, on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and family visitation will be at 6: 00 p.m. The family wishes to thank Dr. GANNON and the staff of Sumac Lodge for the loving care they gave to Mom. Thanks to Smith Funeral Home for the arrangements. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. Dear father of Bill YEAMAN of Cambridge, Karen DAUB (Matthew) of Dorchester and Krista WHITE/WHYTE (Justin FOSTER) of Burford. Loving grandfather of Theresa YEAMAN of Woodstock, and Bill YEAMAN of Cambridge, Taylor ARMSTRONG and Griffin DAUB. Brother of Beverley NASI (Bill) of Perth, Margaret GAUS (Ron) of Kitchener and Diane HYMERS (Gord) of Listowel. Much loved son-in-law of Zita Marie SEARS of Tillsonburg. Charles Edward of Saint Thomas, on Tuesday, July 26, 2005, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Gwen (ERNSHAW) BURLEIGH (1998) and dear brother of Gertrude and her husband Victor YEAMAN of London, Clarence and his wife Mila BURLEIGH of Shannonville, Ontario, Eleanor CUPIT of Brighton, Joyce and her husband Charles PETERBAUGH of Carrying Place and Leslie and his wife Marlene BURLEIGH of St. Thomas. Sadly missed by a number of grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Charles was born in Toronto on January 10, 1919. He worked for Consolidated Truck Lines. He served overseas during World War 2 in the Army Medical Corps and was a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion. '63 graduate and had a long and successful engineering career with both Union Carbide and Stone and Webster. He was keenly interested in his community, music, gardening and the great outdoors - ever a loyal and tireless worker. He will be greatly missed. Founder of Ryerson Theatre SchoolJohn (Jack) Richard McALLISTER born March 6, 1923 to Alexander and Mary Olive McALLISTER, both deceased, passed away on July 25, 2005 from complications due to Alzheimer's disease. Much gratitude to Dr. Sandra E. BLACK, her assistant Jennifer BRAY and staff at Sunnybrook and Women's College Health Sciences Centre's neurology department for their care and loving kindness. Jack was predeceased by his brother Donald McALLISTER, life friend Dr. C. Donald COOK, Friends Major Charles and Margaret BRUBACHER and dog Hero. Survived by sisters Ruth GORDON, BettyLou LAMON, sister-in-law Agnes (DEED) McALLISTER, many nieces, nephews and loving Friends. After graduating from Victoria College, University of Toronto, Jack was hired as the head of the English department at York Memorial Collegiate Institute. In 1963 he was engaged as the head of the English department of Ryerson Polytechnical Institute. During his initial years at Ryerson he conducted Ryerson music operettas. In 1971 he founded Ryerson Theatre School. A celebration of Jack's life will be held on Sunday, November 20, 2005. Peter Ward (Pat) LYON was born in Aberdeen, Scotland June 9, 1930 and immigrated to Canada as a young man. Beloved husband of Phyllis (IVANOFF) LYON. Loving father of Sandra and her husband Jim ROGERS of Gibbons, Alberta and Marie McGILLAWEE of Sarnia and friend Wayne POOLE. Adored Papa of Kellie, Melissa, Candace and Melanie and great-grandfather of Jesse, Skyla, Rhyan and Mikaela. Survived by sister Mary YEATS of Aberdeen, Scotland, brother Sandy LYON of Pt. Edward, sister-in-law Ann LYON of Glasgow, Scotland and several nieces and nephews in Pt. Edward and Scotland. Pat is predeceased by his parents Peter and Frances (MURRAY,) brothers John, William, sisters Frances GAULT, Ann MURRAY, great-granddaughter Jayse and great-grand_son Austin. Pat served as Assistant Manager of Plant Operations for the Middlesex Board of Education for several years. He owned and operated Pinery Auction and Sales for over twenty years in the Grand Bend/Bosanquet area. He was a founding executive member of the Professional Auctioneers' Association of Ontario. Friends will be received at Gilpin Chapel, 97 Victoria St. Thedford on Tuesday, October 4 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 5 at 10: 30 a.m. Reverend Bill WARD officiating. Interment Pinery Cemetery. Memorial donations to Cancer Research are greatly acknowledged.
