YOSHIDA, Kumeo John
Kumeo John YOSHIDA passed away peacefully at Parkwood Hospital on Friday, July 1, 2005 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Katy for 57 years. His quiet, generous spirit and loving smile will be sadly missed by his children Carolyn (Brian), Dennis (Kim), Dale (Bill) and Kevin (Pat) and grandchildren Liam, Will, Midori and Rebecca. Brother of Ida, Tokio (Mary) and Noriuki (Kinue) and brother-in-law to Sue. Pre-deceased by Kanako, Chizuko and Shigeuki Edward. A private family service was held at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas Street East (at Wavell) London on Monday, July 4, 2005. The family extends heartfelt thanks to staff at 4B South, Parkwood Hospital for their care and Friendship to Kumeo over the past nine years, and to Dr. Frank RUTLEDGE and the Intensive Care Unit staff at L.H.S.C. Victoria Campus, South Street site for their support and advice. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Kumeo are asked to consider Parkwood Hospital Veterans Care Program or a charity of their choice. HAMASAKI, Kazuo Richard
It is with great sadness that his family announces that Kazuo passed away peacefully at Providence Healthcare on the morning of September 17, 2005, in his 80th year. Beloved brother of George (late) and Teruko, Shigeo, Shizuko and Mas (late) YOSHIDA, Fumi and Keith TOWATA, Masa and Miyo, and Takeshi (late.) Loving uncle of Joan (late), Ken, Gail, Karen, Gary, Sandy and Brian. Loving great-uncle of Stephen, Michael, Trevor, Kristin, Meagan, David and Kate. The family would like to thank all the Friends for their kindness and support during these past few months. Donations can be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society. Memorial visitation at the Highland Funeral Home, 3280 Sheppard Ave East (just west of Warden Ave.) Scarborough, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, September 23rd. Memorial service on Saturday, September 24th at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.

Peacefully passed away on Monday, January 3, 2005 at the Scarborough General Hospital with his family by his side, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Florence. Loving father of Joanne (Fred), and Lynn (Edward). son of the Late Girobei and Tama. Loving brother of Kikuye MURAOKA (late Harry,) the late Eiji (Mitsue,) the late Fumiko TAKAHASHI (Hideo,) Masako YOSHIDA (late Charles,) and the late Saburo. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews and by his extended family and Friends. Sam will be remembered for his personable nature, his love of cars, woodworking, and his baseball caps. The family will receive Friends at the Highland Funeral Home, 3280 Sheppard Avenue East, (just west of Warden Avenue), Scarborough from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, where the service will be held on Saturday, January 8th at 10 a.m. A private burial will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Peacefully at home in her 96th year on Sunday, April 3, 2005. Beloved wife of the late Yoshio KANDA. Sadly missed by her children Marianne ABE (late Frank,) Henry MUTSUMI, Esther and George NISHIMURA, George and Karen KANDA of Arizona, Noriko Clara FERGUSON (late Ralph,) and Beth and Harry MATSUGU. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Dana, Stacy and Ines, Janice and Derrick, Bruce, Christine, Gayle, Stephen and Katie of Georgia, Peter and Debbie of Minnesota and Tamiko of Kingston; great-grandchildren Nicholas, Emily, Conor, Taylor, Madeline of Minnesota and William of Georgia. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Masao Jack YOSHIDA, Sadako TANI, Fumiko and Kimiko YOSHIDA, Yoshio Harold YOSHIDA. Survived by sisters-in-law Kikumi YOSHIDA and Shizuko Lois YOSHIDA and her many nieces and nephews. It Is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Tak on Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at the Princess Margaret Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Shirley. Dear father of Kimberly and her husband Koichi HAYAKAWA and Michelle and her husband Masanori SHIMOZATO. Loving Ji-chan of Mai, Elly and Shohei. Brother of Mariko and Kameo KAWAGUCHI, Yutaka and Betty YOSHIDA, Hamako YOSHIDA, lsao and Kimiko YOSHIDA and Sus and Kathy YOSHIDA. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Passed away suddenly at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Friday, August 5, 2005, in his 36th year. Beloved son of Verlyn (HOWARD) RUSH and the late Robert RUSH. Loving brother of Verlyn (Alan YOSHIKI) of Markham, Bruce (Robin) of Cambridge, Jim (Cindy) of Barrie. Also survived by his nieces and nephews Kelli, Karen, Ian, Christopher, Katie, Michael, Jared, Andrew, Elizabeth, Anthony, Jeremy, Robin, Michael James and James Ethan. Cal was born on December 3, 1969 in Toronto and was employed with Stackpole Ltd. of Ancaster. At Cal's request, cremation has taken place. Private family services were held. Peacefully on Thursday, January 20, 2005 at Saint Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Harry " Diggy" EDENBOROUGH of Elmira in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Margaret (WILLIAMS) EDENBOROUGH for 63 years. Devoted father of Doug and Joan of West Montrose and Bob of Waterloo and father-in-law of Misuzu YOSHINO of Japan. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Matthew (Robin), Joey and David, Penny and Jeff MAILLETTE, Ryan EDENBOROUGH and Lisa of Japan and his great-grandchildren Cameron, Madeline and Joey MAILLETTE. Also survived by his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his youngest son Ross (1991). The family will receive Friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Friday (today) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At 9: 00 a.m. on Saturday, transfer will be made to Trinity United Church, Elmira for Funeral Service at 11: 00 a.m. with Rev. David JAGGER officiating, followed by interment in Elmira Union Cemetery. Passed away suddenly at his residence in Milverton on Wednesday, May 18th, 2005. Eldon was predeceased by his loving wife Pearl (née GRAUL) with whom he had celebrated 60 years of marriage. Loving father of Bob PHAIR of Sauble Beach. Loving grandfather of Christopher and his wife Kim PHAIR, Corey PHAIR and Brandi PHAIR. Also sadly missed by his brothers and sister: Jack and Edna PHAIR of British Columbia, Laverne and Bonnie PHAIR of Mississauga, Aggie and Lew CRANE of Kitchener, brother-in-law Leonard HALLMAN of Cambridge and sister-in-law Pam PHAIR of Kitchener, and daughter-in-law Bonnie PHAIR. Eldon was predeceased by a son in infancy in 1944, sisters Delores and Morris YOST, Wanda and Charles VINCE, Ruth and Ross WARD, Shirley HALLMAN, and a brother Orval PHAIR, as well as by brother-in-law Harry and Anne GRAUL. Eldon was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 565, Milverton and the former Christ Anglican Church, Milverton.
