YUILL, John Allison
John Allison YUILL passed away peacefully on Monday, March 28, 2005. Born on May 7, 1921 in Kilmarnock, Ayshire, Scotland, John was a veteran of the Second World War, receiving the King George VI medal for service. He helped to secure the Italian front in advance of the Normandy invasion. After the war, John immigrated to Canada. His wife, the late Sarah Gibson (Sadie) YUILL joined him in 1952. John eventually located in Stratford, working as a tool and die maker at the Canadian National Railway repair shop. He later retired from Cooper Energy Services in 1981. John was a long standing member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Masonic Lodge. Dear father of Jeanette and husband Harvey GROSMAN, Toronto; Joan Dunbar, Guelph; Gord and wife Solvey, London; Tom and wife Diane, Stratford. Sadly missed by grand_sons Jeremy SLOANE, Jordan and Andrew GROSMAN, Peter YUILL and Steven YUILL. At John's request, there will be no funeral home visitation and services will be private. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to Beit Halochem Canada.

FORD, Robina " Ruby" (née YUILL)
Passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2005, in her 95th year. Born October 21, 1910, in Glasgow, Scotland. Moved to Canada after her father was killed in action in World War I. Survived by her son, John R. FORD, daughter Sheila J. FORD- McCROW, faithful friend, Julie GERVAIS and her devoted animal companions who brought great comfort to her. Friends may call at the Giffen-Mack "Danforth" Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 2570 Danforth Ave. (at Main St. subway) on Thursday, April 21st from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Liturgy to be celebrated by Dean Douglas STOUTE on Friday, April 22, 2005 at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of St. James'-the-Less, St. James' Cemetery, 635 Parliament St. (north of Wellesley). Will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery beside her husband, Robert G. FORD, who predeceased her in July, 1975. Many thanks to all her caregivers, especially the staff and volunteers at True Davidson Acres. In lieu of flowers, please make a small donation to World Vision.
