NADOR,

Peacefully, at home in Ottawa, on Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at the
age of 73. He was loved by his partner Marietta, his sister Julie
(Nick BAUER,) his daughters Anita and Sue (John
NORRIS,) grand_sons
Jake and Micah, his first wife Katalin, and many, many close
family. Peter lived and died with passion. He said "happiness
comes in different wrappings", and that the last year was a gift
of love from his family and Friends that made his battle with
pancreatic cancer a fight worth fighting. Peter led a colourful
life. He escaped from Hungary in 1957, built an excellent life
in Canada, and travelled to every part of the world in a successful
career in information technology. He was full of stories, and
had a brilliant and insatiably curious mind. To the end, he was
consumed, as he had been his whole life, with interests that
included art, music, politics, and sports. He devoted the same
intense focus to solving complex computer problems, analyzing
his grand_sons' soccer games, and re-wiring the cottage. He will
be missed but never forgotten. Funeral service from Paperman and
Sons, Montreal, on Thursday, June 8th at 2: 30 p.m. Burial in
Montreal. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be

just at his job.
A longtime volunteer, he also put his talents to work to help
many causes -- from the Young Men's Christian Association to
his church and London bids to hold the Commonwealth Games.
Effortlessly, it seemed, he excelled in school, business and
life.
The "ultimate professional" and father of three, he died September 25.
He was 89.
"Ken could do anything he put his mind to," said his friend,
Jack BIDDELL, of
LEMON's ability to balance his extensive community
involvement with his family life.
As a boy, LEMON's family had little money and the benefits he
received from services such as the Young Men's Christian Association
fueled his love of volunteerism.
He operated fundraising campaigns, chaired organizations and
created foundations.
Still, he maintained a strong relationship with his family --
his late wife
Honor, sons Rick and Peter
LEMON and daughter Ann
BRIGGS, seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
"He never missed anything… he would come from wherever he was
to attend stuff," Peter
LEMON said.
LEMON was born October 1, 1916, in Orillia.
BIDDELL said
LEMON was an "overachiever" and didn't have to work
hard for good grades in school.
LEMON received two national scholarships,
paying his tuition to attend a Canadian university.
He turned them down, accepting an apprenticeship with the Toronto
accounting firm Clarkson, Gordon and Co.
"It was what he planned to do all along," said
BIDDELL.
In 1948, LEMON was sent with 10 employees -- and a handful of
clients -- to co-partner the company's London branch.
Keith BAUMAN/BOWMAN, a 10-year employee until 1978, believes the firm
succeeded because
LEMON encouraged a team atmosphere and cared
about his employees.
"People had such respect for him that you wanted to do a good
job and not let him down," he said.
LEMON's son said after his dad retired in 1982, he continued
to do income tax returns for people without charge.
"He enjoyed doing financial activities, it was his hobby," he
said. Today, "selfishness is a popular characteristic, but… he
always thought of himself last."

PATRIARCHE,
Michael
Valance
Born June 10, 1941. Died at home surrounded by his wife and children
on Saturday May 27, 2006 after a courageous nine year battle
against cancer. Devoted husband to Jennifer (née
GROOS,) loving
father of Douglas and Julia, father-in-law of Douglas's wife
Christine, and grandfather of Helen and Catherine. Also survived
by his sister Joan
BAUMBER and his brothers Tony
PATRIARCHE and
John PATRIARCHE.
Mike grew up in an Air Force family, frequently
moving around Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
During his childhood he developed life-long interests in radio
and aviation. He received his bachelor's degree in electrical
engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada in 1963.
Mike married Jenny in 1964, and flew as a pilot in the Royal
Canadian Air Force until 1967. After receiving a master's degree
from Carleton University in Ottawa, he worked at the Shirley's
Bay communications research facility, the Federal Department
of Communications, and Telesat Canada. During this time, son
Douglas and daughter Julia were born. In 1981 the family moved
to Mississauga, Ontario where Mike was president of a small telecommunications
equipment manufacturing company. In 1983, Mike joined Northern
Telecom, where as a vice president he helped lead the company
into the new arena of cellular and wireless communications. With
Nortel, Mike and his family moved to Dallas, Texas, London, England,
and Seattle, Washington, where Mike retired in 1998 following
his diagnosis with chondrosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer.
Mike was an adventurer. As a private pilot he and his family
crisscrossed North America and Europe in their private airplane.
In their retirement Mike and Jenny explored the Pacific coasts
of Washington and British Columbia for weeks and months at a
time in their yacht Bonaventure, moving onto the boat full time
for the last three years. We remember Mike for his humanity,
his leadership, his determination, and his devotion to his family.
We feel his absence terribly. We are very grateful to Doctor E.U.
Conrad III, Doctor Sohail Mirza, and Doctor James Butrynski at the
Seattle Cancer Care Alliance for their care and concern. A memorial
service will be held at Saint Matthias Anglican Church in Victoria,
British Columbia, on Wednesday June 7, at 2 p.m. Donations in
Mike's memory may be made to the University of Washington Sarcoma
Oncology Endowed Chair (University of Washington Foundation,

Cancer Society, or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
