Cemetery Board, the Elgin Pioneers and was an avid hunter and
outdoorsman. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street,
Saint Thomas until Thursday afternoon and then to Central United
Church where funeral service will be held at 1: 00 p.m. Interment
to follow in McArthur Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday from 2-4
and 7-9 p.m. An Eastern Star Service will be held at the Funeral

BURSEY. Hrisoula was
a ceaseless fighter and survivor, having been abducted at the
age of 18 by the Partisan Rebel Army in the 1948 Greek Civil
War. She was a machine gunner, sharp-shooter, operated rocket
launched grenades, was a mobile cave hospital nurse, and military
code cryptographer. Despite her training, Hrisoula was pleased
to say that she never killed or harmed anyone. Hrisoula and her
family immigrated to Canada in 1967 to escape the Greek military
dictatorship, and settled in Toronto's Greektown since 1971 as
a respected member of the community and proud homemaker. Services
will be held Wednesday, March 15th at 11 a.m. at St. Cyril and
Methody Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral, 238 Sackville Street, Toronto,
416-368-2828, followed by interment at Westminster Mausoleum,
5830 Bathurst Street, 416-665-2015. Donations can be made in Hrisoula's
name at the Palliative Care Unit of Saint Michael's Hospital, 416-864-5454,

year. Profoundly missed by her husband of nearly 60 years, Kent,
and her five children who loved her deeply, Cliff of Calgary,
Alberta, Eric and wife Olga of Napa, California, Katie and husband
Kirk of Oakville, Ontario, Sam and wife Kathy of West Vancouver,
British Columbia, and Sarah and husband Assam of Toronto. She
loved us all and wanted nothing but the best for each and every
one of us. She made us who we are. Her nine grandchildren, Kyle,
Brett and Sean in Napa, California, Megan and Adrienne in Oakville,
Ontario and Claudia, Monica and twins Georgia and Sonia in Toronto
were a constant source of inspiration and joy to her. Born Katharine
Lois JENTZ she grew up in the paper making town of Three Rivers,
Quebec. After raising and educating her children in Montreal
and Toronto she pursued her life-long interest in film and fine
art and in 1977 graduated from York University with a Bachelor
of Arts degree in art history. Lois will be remembered forever
for her unique sense of class and timeless style. She taught
us all to eat healthy long before it was ever the fashionable
thing to do. A superb hostess, she enjoyed nothing more than
entertaining family and Friends around her dinner table filled
with lively conversation at her homes on St. Armand's Key, Sarasota,
and in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Private family service. Interment

in his 91st year. Loving husband of the late Vera Evelyn
HOUGHTON
(JENVEY) (1978) and the late Laura Evelyn
(LANGSTROTH) (2003.)
Beloved father of Donald James and wife Barb, Richard Wayne and
wife Helen, Dolores Laureen, Beverley, Lloyd, Yvonne and Marilyn.
Cherished grandfather of Mark, Sarah (deceased), Jennifer, Michael,
Stephanie and Amanda. Devoted great-grandfather of Jacob, Noah,
Benjamin, Connor and Simon. He was known as Grandpa to all including
his step grandchildren Peter, Rene, Graham, Brant, Tom, Steven,
Timothy, Angela, Melanie, Kristen, Scott (deceased). He is survived
by his sister Helen
MUIR and predeceased by his parents James
and Nell HOUGHTON and brothers and sister Frank, James and Eleanor.
He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family and Friends
who will be received at the McBeath-Dynes Funeral Home, 246 Thames
St. S., Ingersoll Monday, November 6, 2006 from 1-2 p.m. where
service will be held at 2: 00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Interment
later Harris Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and in expression
of sympathy memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society
