Irene ALLISON (HAWKINS) in her 93rd year, passed away at Longworth on February 1, 2006. At peace now and reunited with her beloved husband Geoffrey (1987,) dear brother-in-law Ernie CUMBERLAND and cherished Friends Kit and Frank PROCTOR. Past memories fondly shared by daughters Sheila BAKER (Jack,) and Joan PETRIE (Wayne.) Much loved grandmother to Timothy (Shawn) BAKER, Kathryn BAKER Matthew, Jeffrey, Allison PETRIE; proud great-grandmother to Alice and Callum BAKER. Sadly missed by sisters Beatrice CUMBERLAND (Alliston) and Eleanor DURRANT (Brantford.) Aunt to Margaret Anne PLAXTON, Bill CUMBERLAND, Gail CUMBERLAND, Dawn PARDY and Robin DURRANT and great-aunt to many loved nieces and nephews. Respected friend and mentor to many young people, neighbours and co-workers. Born in Tecumseth Township; Graduated from University of Toronto (1933); Former Director of Occupational Therapy at London Psychiatric Hospital; Part time Lecturer and Clinical Instructor at University of Western Ontario; Member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, Anglican Church Women, Christ Church (Forest); Member of the Forest Nursing Home Association Recipient of the Ontario Long Term Care Association's Lifetime Achievement Award (2004). Irene retired to the family cottage at Glendale Beach, Forest where she enjoyed happy family times and her favourite hobbies; bird watching, reading, cooking and gardening until the year 2001. Sincere gratitude to all the staff at Longworth Long Term Care, Dr. J.M. JORDAN, Dr. S. UTTLEY, Rev. N. WELLS (Sarnia), Dr. L. GIBBS and staff (Thedford), Home Care and supporting agencies (Forest) and Helping Hands Plus (London) for their compassion and support during the many difficulties of our mother's aging process. Visitation will be held on Monday from 3: 00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, where the funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, February 7th, 2006 at 1: 00 p.m. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. On Saturday, May 6, 2006 at Mississauga, Ontario in his 97th year. Beloved husband of the late Edith ROBINSON (née INNES.) Cherished father of the late Victoria LUCAS (Mrs. Frederick LUCAS.) Dearest grandfather of Michael, James and Heather LUCAS, and great grandfather of Lily and Beckett SAVA. Much loved uncle of Martha RYDALL, Kitty RETTER, Tim PLAXTON and the late John PLAXTON. A private family service was held at the Turner and Porter "Peel" Chapel, Mississauga, on Wednesday, May 10, 2006. Interment at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens, Oakville. Donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, in his memory, would be greatly appreciated.

At his residence in Southampton on Friday, May 19, 2006. Hugh PLAXTON of Southampton and formerly of Toronto in his 65th year. Hugh found great enjoyment in moving to Southampton and during times spent with his best friend Brian Eagles as well as his many Friends at the Southampton Legion. Dear father of Hugh and his wife Karen of Hanover and Lisa and her husband Kevin MAIONE of Minnesota. Dear brother of Andrea PLAXTON of Cobourg and Michael of Montreal. Grandfather of Drew and Ethan. Also survived by his former wife Muriel PLAXTON of Hanover. Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Mabel PLAXTON. At Hugh's request there will be no Visitation nor Funeral Services. Cremation. Peacefully, at the Leacock Care Centre, Orillia, on Saturday, November 11th, 2006, at the age of 86. Charles DYER of Orillia, formerly of Toronto, beloved son of the late Charles and Reynolds DYER. Loving brother of Donald (predeceased,) Mary (John predeceased) PLAXTON of Mississauga. Margaret (Robert) LONG of Orillia and Alexander DYER (Taylor predeceased) of Picton. Charles will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.
