On Monday, December 25, 2006, Kenneth Westlake CAMPBELL of Saint Thomas, partner and husband of the late Eleanor Genevieve FENWICK (2004,) in his 94th year. He was both a gentleman and a gentle man who, in his quiet way, demonstrated an inner strength and a faith that was a life long example for those who knew and loved him. His family, the focus of his love and the beneficiaries of his life lessons, begin with Janice AICKEN of Kintore, Kenella JOHNSTON and her husband Allen of Ottawa, Dugald CAMPBELL and his wife Lynn of Ada, Michigan and the late Mary LUNN (1993) and son-in-law Duayne LUNN of Mississauga. That love was extended to his 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Born in Saint Thomas, Ontario on September 4, 1913, Kenneth was the son of the late John Arthur, and Mabel Louise (WESTLAKE) CAMPBELL of the River Road and the brother of the late Helen Elizabeth ROSSER. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church and an ordained elder for most of his life and was a past president of the Ontario Mutual Insurance Association. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, Saint Thomas on Thursday, December 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church (Hincks and Mitchell Streets), Saint Thomas on Friday, December 29 at 1: 30 p.m. Interment will be in the Saint Thomas Cemetery, West Avenue. With great sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Nina, on Thursday, April 20, 2006, at the age of 81. Loving wife of Renato for 60 years, devoted mother of Alfeo and Michael (Rose Mary), proud nonna of Daniel, Matthew, Christopher, and David. Predeceased by her brother Mario. She will be fondly remembered by her many Friends and family. Nina was born in Ceolini di Fontanafredda, Pordenone, Italy. She immigrated to Toronto with her son Alfeo in 1952 to join Renato who had arrived the previous year. Nina dedicated her life to her family, and she enriched their lives with her special and unconditional love. Caring friend and former husband of Dorothy. Fun loving grandfather of eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Stan will also be missed by his brothers and sisters: Harold (Gladys) of Windsor, Bruce of London, Herb (Carole) of Windsor, Cathy DURLEY (John) of Saint Marys and Ernie (Barbara) of Brampton, as well as his many nieces, nephews and Friends. Born to parents from the Isle of Man and Scotland, Stan was deeply loyal to his family and had a strong appreciation for his roots. He enjoyed living abroad during his many years as an executive for the Ford Motor Company. Stan was a talented artist, a keen car enthusiast and a supporter of Habitat for Humanity, with strong interests in current events. He was passionately interested in his family and Friends and always had an encouraging word for each one. On January 1, 2006, the golfing and curling world lost one of its biggest fans, at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital, due to a stroke. Widow of the late Fred MOORE; long term employee of Hilti Canada and enthusiastic member of Streetsville and Calerin Golf Clubs; wonderful mother to Russ MOORE and wife Audrey, Karen HOUSTON and partner Peter KELLY. Mom was not only the 87 year old matriarch, but the perfect example of how to live life to the fullest to a large family of grandchildren: Kathy and Robert BROWN, Chris and Hiro URABE, Linda and Jeff WRIGHT, Leslie LEVERE and Tim SMITH, and to her great-grandchildren: Alex and Ian BROWN Tara, Erik, Kyra, and Ryan URABE; Sara and Hannah WRIGHT; Tyler, Rebecca and Tara LEVERE and Megan SMITH. Mom lived with zest, humour, curiosity, fearlessness and most of all, integrity. She will be greatly missed by all her family including her sister Dorothy, cousin Joyce and others, and many nieces, nephews and Friends, especially dear friend Trudy. Her latest joy was her adored kitten Sweetie who brought her comfort and smiles. Thank you to the 8th floor staff at Lakeridge Oshawa for their compassion and care. Cremation has taken place. A private interment will be held at a later date. In his 97th year died in his sleep Wednesday September 6, 2006. Devoted husband and helpmate to his beloved wife Jean (née NORTON) LOMBARDO, (Mt. Hope, London). Hubert was predeceased by his parents Frank (1937) and Josephine (1983) LOMBARDO, as well as his 2 sisters Josephine MARCOTTE (2000) and Phyllis ROSSO (2005) and their spouses. He is survived by Jean's sister Peggy FRAUMENI. Although Hubert had no children of his own, he was dearly loved and admired by his many nephews and nieces and their families. He will be especially missed by his niece Janis (Marcotte) CASCADDEN and her husband Richard, as well as Jean's nephew Wayne THORPE. Hubert's cousins included the family members of "Guy Lombardo and his Royal Canadians." A proud, life long resident of London, Ontario, Hubert was known by many as the "Mayor of the Market" for his almost daily visits there over the years. His extensive knowledge of London's history amazed everyone who knew him. Hubert was a kind and gentle man who always had an inquisitive mind and a keen interest in other people. He was a great cook and shared his love of food with many. Hubert, our family gatherings won't be the same without you. You will be missed by all. Passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer on Wednesday May 24th, 2006 with her son Andrew by her side. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia on January 15th, 1944. Predeceased by her parents Gunnar and Muriel ROSTRUP. Ann will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Colin ROUS, son Andrew MONTGOMERIE and wife Kate, granddaughters Penny, Mae and Sally, sister Jean SCHOFIELD and husband Peter, brother Paul ROSTRUP and wife Paula, her niece Karen, nephews Steven, Scott and Mark, and her many Friends and colleagues. Raised and attended school in Montreal, graduating from MacDonald College and Sir George Williams University. Ann began her teaching career in 1962 in Montreal. She moved to Toronto in 1973 and continued teaching with Seneca College where she retired in 2004. She was a life long avid bird watcher and nature enthusiast. She also enjoyed many creative hobbies including knitting, needlepoint, crafts, cooking and entertaining. She spent the last twelve years as an ardent weaver, serving as the Vice President of the Ontario Handweavers and Spinners. A Memorial Service to celebrate Ann's life will be held on Tuesday May 30th at 11: 00 a.m. at Newtonbrook United Church, 53 Cummer Avenue, North York.
