SAMS, Charles Jeremy " Sammy"
Unexpectedly but peacefully at home on Thursday June 15th, 2006 (age 68) with his wife and constant companion Janni (LOVERING) de Savoye. He will be sorely missed by his loving sons, Philip and Graeme of whom he was so appreciative, proud grandfather to Kateri and Emerly, his brother Tony (Marion), sister Jocelyn MINTON, and predeceased by his parents Leslie George ('Sammy') and Daphne. A fun step-father and 'Grampa Jer' to many loving children. Jeremy was a devoted Forty-Eighth Highlander; his passion for golf at The Toronto Golf Club surpassed none; he had many fond memories of Lakefield College School where he attended with pride, and he will be remembered by many from the Insurance Industry in which he thrived for over 45 years. His sudden loss is devastating to his family and many Friends including 'Kati' his ever-loyal Labrador Retriever and 'Cointreau' his feline pal. A Celebration of his Life will take place at Christ Church Deer Park, 1570 Yonge St. (at Heath St. W.) on Saturday June 24th at 11 a.m. Flowers gratefully declined by the family. 'Goodbye dear Jeremy (Sammy), we will miss you very much'!!!

SAVAGE, Brian Colson
Died peacefully in his 55th year, on Wednesday, February 8, 2006, after a courageous battle with cancer at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Brian leaves his beloved wife, Mary Ann POULOS, and her parents, Vasiliki and Tasso POULOS. He also leaves his dearest Friends Denise HALSEY, Thomas SAMS, Leslie BERNARD, and James NOLAN. Brian devoted his last 4 years to the task of helping others. He developed a new and innovative G.E.D. program to help people complete their high school education, so often a barrier to a better life for the people we serve. But Brian's true legacy will live on in Scarborough Centre for Addiction Recovery and Employment Services - which he co-created with his wife to provide a safe haven, counselling, support and training to people dealing with life's challenges. It is Brian's strongest and final wish that his work through Centre for Addiction Recovery and Employment Services continues. Friends may call at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough (between Eglinton and St. Clair Aves. E.) on Sunday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. A complete funeral service will be held in the chapel at 2 p.m. followed by cremation. Brian has left us with a job to do. It is with this job in mind that we ask in lieu of flowers or other donations, that all donations be made to Centre for Addiction Recovery and Employment Services, 3160 Eglinton Ave. E., 2nd floor, Scarborough On.
