It is with great sadness that the family of "Bob" Robert George
EASTER announce his passing at Bluewater Health, Palliative Care,
on Monday, April 17, 2006, at the age of 86. Bob was born in
Petrolia and moved to Chatham in 1929. He served with the Royal
Canadian Army, Service Corps from 1942-1946. When he returned
to Canada, he met and married Vera May
COOK in 1948. They had
five children. Bob was employed for 32 years at Imperial Oil
in the Research Department. He was very active in the Scouting
Movement in Sarnia and Lambton County for 50 years and served
as the Secretary of Chief of the Attawandron. His great passion
was the Scout Camp near the Pinery, Attawandron, and was named
Chief Walk-in-the-Woods by the Attawandron Chiefs in 1978. He
continued his association with the Scouts and Chiefs until his
death. In addition, Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman and
an active with the Bluewater Anglers. Bob is survived by and
will be sadly missed by his second wife

CAMERON of London. Predeceased by her
daughter Barbara (1949) and her son Hugh (1952). Eleanor was
blessed with special Friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. She
always deeply cherished her kinship to the Welwood family. Students
in many areas of Southwestern Ontario will remember her. She
started her teaching in a one room school in Yarmouth Township
near Saint Thomas and later in schools in Windsor and London. Eleanor
retired as a Librarian in the Masonville Public School in 1980.
Since 1939 her summer days were spent at the family cottage at
Sauble Beach. Memories of many good times there will be remembered
during a celebration of her life to be held with her Friends
in Sauble this summer. A graveside service will be held at Woodland
Cemetery, 493 Springbank Drive, London on Tuesday, June 6, 2006
at 2 p.m. (Please meet at the main office directly inside the
Cemetery gates at 1: 45 p.m.). Cremation has already taken place.
