WESSON, Maureen Marie
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maureen WESSON at North Vancouver, British Columbia, on Thursday, December 21, 2006, at the age of 66. Maureen died of complications arising from the progression of her pulmonary fibrosis. Maureen is survived by Ernie, her loving husband of 48 years, her sister Adele YORKE and her brother John ARDIS. She will be remembered and deeply missed by her daughters Karen HANLON (James,) Lori MURPHY (Bill) and Lynn BRADSHAW, her son Chris WESSON (Leachelle,) and family member Ron LEA, as well as her grandchildren Greg and Tony MURPHY, Kristina and Heather BRADSHAW, Chelanna and Cherie WESSON, and Katie, Jamie, John and Joseph HANLON. Maureen was a warm and friendly lady who gave much happiness to everyone she came in contact with. She was completely devoted to her family, and was a loyal and supporting partner throughout her husband's military career and subsequent involvement with several service associations. She also enjoyed a long and productive career as a Legal Secretary. Best friend, loving wife, mother and grandmother, with a true giving and nurturing spirit, Maureen will be remembered and cherished by everyone who knew her. The Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2: 00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28th at St. Stephen's parish (24th and Mountain Hwy, North Vancouver). The family of the late Lisa PERKINS- ROBINSON extend sincere appreciation to family, Friends and neighbours who visited the funeral home called, sent cards, baking to our homes purchased Mass cards and memorial cards. Special thanks to Father Steve LACROIX. To Corry LAPOINTE and Don BUCHANAN and the Saint Mary's Choir we sincerely appreciated the wonderful music at Lisa's funeral Mass. We also thank the Zion Amabel United Church Women who hosted the luncheon and the Owen Sound City Police for their assistance with traffic control for the funeral. A very special thank you to the pall bearers, cousins of Lisa's - Ryan NICKELS, Mathew HALLIDAY, Andrew DOWNS, T.J. DOWNS, Darryl DOWNS and Rod PERKINS. Beloved husband, father and grandfather. Archie had a long and distinguished career at Wilkinson Co. Ltd., rising to the position of president before retiring at age 63, Archie was an avid golfer and longtime member of Point Grey Golf Club. He is survived by his daughter, Jill, son-in-law Richard WEST; granddaughter Teresa WEST, wife Robin▼ GRAY/GREY, brothers Peter, John and Charles (Chappy,) sister-in-law Dorothy FORSTER (Vic,) brother-in-law Gerald CULVER and many nieces and nephews. On September 22, 2006 at 2: 10 a.m., 39 days after being diagnosed with cancer, 16 days before his 66th birthday, Eden Lowrie RAINE took his final breath in the loving arms of his wife of 42 years, Jill. He leaves behind his children Miles, Lorin (Bev) and Nicola (Brad), his grandchildren Ethan, Callum, Avery and Robyn who lovingly called him 'Dubby' and his sister Una WEST. Eden▼ had a distinguished career as a senior executive at Olivetti and for the past 12 years at Soroc Tech., but he will be most remembered for the lives that he touched. Many referred to him as 'Uncle' and he truly was a benevolent uncle to all. He lived a life of always putting others first, welcoming people in and putting a warm smile on people's faces with his humour, silliness and generosity. His loss will be felt by so many family, Friends and colleagues.
