On Monday, December 25, 2006, Kenneth Westlake CAMPBELL of Saint Thomas, partner and husband of the late Eleanor Genevieve FENWICK (2004,) in his 94th year. He was both a gentleman and a gentle man who, in his quiet way, demonstrated an inner strength and a faith that was a life long example for those who knew and loved him. His family, the focus of his love and the beneficiaries of his life lessons, begin with Janice AICKEN of Kintore, Kenella JOHNSTON and her husband Allen of Ottawa, Dugald CAMPBELL and his wife Lynn of Ada, Michigan and the late Mary LUNN (1993) and son-in-law Duayne LUNN of Mississauga. That love was extended to his 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Born in Saint Thomas, Ontario on September 4, 1913, Kenneth was the son of the late John Arthur, and Mabel Louise (WESTLAKE) CAMPBELL of the River Road and the brother of the late Helen Elizabeth ROSSER. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church and an ordained elder for most of his life and was a past president of the Ontario Mutual Insurance Association. Tom served overseas during the Second World War as a pilot with the Royal Canadian Air Force He had been employed at Stacey Brothers, Standard Products and Mitchell Chrysler in Mitchell and had worked in the Parts Department at Red Dale Motors and Kalbfleisch Brothers in Stratford. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Festival City. Beloved husband of Helen Catherine (HOLMAN) COULTON whom he married at Stratford on May 8, 1944. Dear father of Elizabeth HICKS and husband Ron of London and David COULTON and wife Lynda of Stratford. Beloved grandfather of Christopher and Nicholas HICKS and Ashley and Brian COULTON. WESTON, Kristine (née MYSZKOWSKI)
After a difficult six-month long struggle with cancer, our Kristine passed away quietly at Grace Hospital on Thursday, November 30, 2006 at the age of 58, surrounded by loving family and Friends. Cherished firstborn daughter of mother Janina of Toronto and her late father Florian MYSZKOWSKI, Kristine was born in Lincoln, England. She spent the first 8 years of her life in Buenos Aires, coming to Canada in 1956. Beloved sister of Margaret BOBET of Geneva, Switzerland and Angela MYSZKOWSKI of Collingwood, and adored (and adoring) aunt Tissie to Jessica and Olivia BOBET. Always a larger than life personality with an innate sense of style and fashion, a resonant laugh and brilliant smile, Kristine began her working life teaching early elementary grades. She was a charismatic, creative and energetic teacher, much loved by her kids. She would later find her niche in executive recruitment as a researcher and consultant with Al Beech and Associates, as a corporate manager at Manulife Financial, and as an entrepreneur and consultant forming her own company Kris Weston and Associates. One of her proudest accomplishments in recent years was completion of the Washington Marathon in the fall of 2005 as a member of Jean's Marines. Kris will be dearly missed by her family and a large group of Friends who actively supported her through some of the worst moments of her life. She will be remembered as a true dog lover (Riley and Bentley), as a woman with a passion for living and for enjoying every moment to its fullest, a caregiver extraordinaire, an avid movie goer, reader and traveller, an Outward Bound graduate, an enthusiastic and caring friend, sister, daughter and aunt. Friends may call at the Ralph Day Funeral Home, 180 Danforth Avenue, between the hours of 6 and 8 p.m. on Tuesday. All are welcome to attend the memorial service for Kristine to be held at the Toronto Lawn Tennis Club 7 p.m. Wednesday. The family and Kris' circle of Friends express deepest gratitude to Kris' medical team at Princess Margaret Hospital and Toronto General Hospital and to the skilled and compassionate palliative care team at the Salvation Army's Grace Hospital in Toronto. With deep sadness, Ray's family announces his passing on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 in Burlington. Ray was born in Pinner, England on May 10, 1920 and is predeceased by his beloved Gwendoline who accompanied him on their great adventure to Canada. Together they raised three fine boys, Graham, David and Brian and lovingly welcomed into their family their sons' partners, Joanne O'REILLY, Ivana PETRICONE and Gillian WESTWOOD. Ray's great joy was in the faces of his six grandchildren, Alessia, Eric, Danielle, Tommy, Simon and Andrew. Ray was drawn to and seduced by Canada while serving with the Royal Air Force, posted in 1942 to Weyburn, Saskatchewan. In 1949, after graduating from Imperial College, University of London, he emigrated with Gwen to Grimsby, Ontario. He contributed to his adopted community as a professional engineer for Canadian Westinghouse and as one of the original designers of the Candu nuclear reactor for Atomic Energy of Canada. Ray approached his work and his hobbies with meticulous attention. He will be remembered as a gifted pianist and lover of classical music. Ray was also a disciplined athlete. Each of his grandchildren has inherited a little piece of their granddad's talents. His memory will live on in them. Ray's children wish to acknowledge with their thanks the extraordinary care that Ray received from Marion Wilson since losing Gwen. Ray and all of us benefited greatly from Marion's kindness. Thanks also to the wonderful staff at Cama Woodlands Nursing Home for all of their care and support of Ray.
