After a courageous and hard fought battle with Colon Cancer, Brian has left our world to walk with his father, Glenn; brothers, Doug and Lyle and his uncle, Robert GORING. He leaves behind his two "Best" Friends, his loving wife, Patrice (BROWN) and his dear mother, Margaret. A man of few words, Brian dearly loved his children, Amy MORRIS of Stratford; Dakota, Cheyenne and Sierra, all at home. He was exceptionally thankful for the short time he was able to spend with his granddaughter, Mia. His family will miss him greatly. Brian is survived by his siblings, Don and his wife Nancy of Thamesford, Joan and friend Doug WOOD of Stratford, Bruce and wife Lori of Stratford; his sister-in-law, Sherry PLETSCH of Tavistock and brother-in-law, Al HILCOX of New Hamburg. After graduating from Havergal College and Victoria College, U of T, Anne studied the cello and violin at The Royal Conservatory of Music and later at the Interlochen Music Camp, Michigan. A restless soul, Anne lived in various small Ontario towns and was invited to play the cello in local orchestras. Excellent at crafts, Anne had her own business designing and building doll houses and Noah's Arks. Many a lucky child was the recipient of one of these. Anne's dogs Bouvie and Boz were her much loved constant companions. She loved music, nature and animals. Anne's family will never forget the happy get togethers we had with her. A lot of laughs and fun! She will be missed by her long time friend and school mate Pat Anderson STANOJEVIC of Toronto, and Hanneke KOONSTRA of Uxbridge. Margaret fought her battle with Multiple Sclerosis with the same strong will that she lived her life. Her laughter, impish smile, and joy in her family will be missed by all. Distinguished career with the Royal Navy commanding a flotilla of Motor Torpedo Boats in the English Channel and Indian Ocean during World War 2. Wounded in action and mentioned in dispatch. Captain H.M.C.S. Chippawa (Winnipeg) for 9 years. President of the Naval Officer's Association. Long and distinguished career in the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation starting as a broadcaster covering the Royal tours, tall ships and other special events. He was responsible for many innovations in the early days of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Retired as head of International Relations. Predeceased by his wife Ruth. Loving father of Brian and Alastair. Uncle to Liston (Carole) McILHAGGA, Elizabeth (deceased) (John) SPENCER and Sean McILHAGGA. Great-uncle to David, Cariad and Paul and Great-great-uncle to Nathan. Born on January 26, 1961, in Weston, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Eileen (McDOWELL) WEIR. She worked as an Aerospace Engineer prior to moving to Annapolis Royal to become co-owner of The Hillsdale House, Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. Shannon will be sadly missed by her children, Cory, Sam and Hayley, at home; along with sister, Heather (David) STAIRS; brother-in-law, Danny (Cheryl;) mother-in-law, Clair; nephews, Patrick, Kevin and Jason; nieces, Courtney and Megan. She was predeceased by her loving husband Rick. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Annapolis Royal.
