Peter
(January 28th, 1939-December 7th, 2002)
As we stood beside your bedside,
Our hearts were crushed and sore,
We saw you slowly sinking,
And knew they could do no more.
In tears we saw you leaving,
And we watched you fade away,
Our hearts were totally broken,
When you left us on that day.
Some people say as time goes by,
The heartache will subside.
But the feelings in our hearts today,
Are the same as the day you died.
No matter how our lives have changed,
No matter what we do,
We'll never forget those precious years,
The ones we shared with you.
Forever in our hearts.
