Gently, in Chesley's Parkview Manor, in the early hours of Friday, October 6th, 2006, in her 87th year, the former Blanche Alma Jean STEWARD/STEWART/STUART, the cherished wife of Hugh W. McCULLOCH of Chesley, formerly of the 12th of Bruce. In addition to her husband, Blanche leaves behind several Thompson and Stewart cousins, in-laws, Elsie and Paul ORR of Ohio and Fraser and Betty McCULLOCH of Southampton, and a host of fond nieces and nephews. On Monday, October 9th, 2006, Friends called at the W. Kent Milroy Paisley Chapel, between 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. On October 10th at 11: 00 a.m. funeral services were held in Paisley's Knox United Church with the Rev. Judy ZARUBICK officiating. Six nephews served as pallbearers Bill McCULLOCH, Terry WOOD, Don McCULLOCH, Carl McCULLOCH, David McKINNON and Jim McCULLOCH. Lewis and Marilyn COFFMAN played her favourite hymns. Anne JOSLYN, Blanche's friend of sixty years, and Sue LITTLE, a niece, contributed remembrances. Nieces Anne KLAGES, Siobhan ORR, and Nancy HARLTON were flower beares. Beloved father of Otto and Tom (Susanna). Cherished Grandpa of Tim, Kevin, Michael and Joey. He will be sadly missed by his family and Friends. Otto was a proud Hungarian and Air Force Veteran of World War 2, who fought for the freedom of Hungary and worked tirelessly for the preservation of Hungarian culture in Canada. He was instrumental of the Magyar Aero Museum and the annual reunion of Hungarian veteran pilots. REWBOTHAM and dearly loved mother of Charles and his wife Betty REWBOTHAM of R.R.#4 Saint Thomas, James and his wife Dianna REWBOTHAM of Fort Saint_James, British Columbia, Mary and her husband "Tubby" Wilson of R.R.#4 Saint Thomas and Karen REWBOTHAM of Saint Thomas. She was the last of her family. Predeceased by a brother Al WILSON and a twin sister Marjorie MUMA. Sadly missed by 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews, cousins and Friends. Dorothy was born in Lobo Township on June 23, 1915, the daughter of the late Charles Hugh and Clara J (ZAVITZ) WILLSON. She was a member of the Society of Friends (Quaker) and was a life member of the Sparta Women's Institute and the Association for Community Living Dorothy enjoyed quilting and sewing. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas until Friday and then to the Sparta Meeting House for funeral service at 11: 00 a.m. Cremation to follow, with burial of ashes in the Friends Cemetery, Sparta. Loving father of Lorel CARR and fiancé Tom HARRISON of Port Elgin; Paul (JoAnne) BROOKS of Brisbane, Australia; Mark BROOKS and friend Vickey POOLE of Waubaushene and Jan BROOKS of London. Much loved grandpa of Melanie, Matthew and Jonathan CARR; Charles (Chuck) BROOKS of Claresholm, Alberta Nicole BROOKS of Brisbane, Australia; Melissa (Missy) and Rocky BALDWIN of Edmonton, Alberta; Kyle, Krystal and Joshua BROOKS of Orillia; cherished great-grandpa of Austin and Lily BALDWIN of Edmonton. Upon discharge, he enrolled in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto. Following graduation, he practiced pharmacy in Toronto, Saint Thomas and in London for several decades until his retirement.
