Peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Campus, London on Wednesday, January 18th, 2006, Evelyn June Louise (SHIPLEY) of R.R.#3, Thorndale, in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Chester STEVENS (1997.) Cherished and loving mother of Gary and his wife Paula of Thorndale, Lawrence and his wife Rosiline of Exeter, Paul of Saskatoon, Joan and her husband Patrick HUBBERT of Unionville, and Maureen and her husband Robert JELLY of Ilderton. Special friend to Arthur CRINKLAW of Belmont. Also loved and adored by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Daughter of the late Lionel J.W. and Martha (HILL) SHIPLEY. Predeceased by 3 sisters and 5 brothers. Friends may call at the Harland B. Betzner Funeral Home, 177 Dundas Street, Thamesford on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held Monday, January 23, 2006 at 11 a.m. Reverend Janice AICKEN officiating. Peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre, Victoria Campus on Monday May 22, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer, with his family at his side. Floyd Elden DUNLOP of R.R.#2 Thamesford in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Nancy (McLEOD.) Dear father of Jim and Brenda DUNLOP and John and Lori DUNLOP, all of R.R.#4 Thamesford. Predeceased by an infant daughter, Julie Lynn (1963). Dear brother of Verna SWITZER of Comber, Mary ENNETT of Sarnia and Flora SHAW of Port Perry. Predeceased by 2 sisters Marie NETHERLY and Lois STEELE. Also sadly missed by 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 special children Lacey and Timothy NOBLE who are like family to both Floyd and Nancy, several nieces and nephews, cousins and many close Friends. Peacefully surrounded by his children, on Sunday June 11, 2006. Gordon Everett CUCKSEY of R.R.#2 Lakeside in his 80th year. Dear friend of Marie LENART of Ingersoll. Loved father of Linda and Larry ELSON of Parkhill, Jeffrey CUCKSEY and his partner Luc BÉDARD of Ottawa, Ken and Brenda CUCKSEY of Wingham, Greg CUCKSEY of Tavistock and daughter-in-law Geraldine CUCKSEY of Hickson. Loving "Grandpa Gord" to Melinda, Chrystal, Jennifer, Bridget and Jonathan, and Becky and Michelle. Great-grandpa to Ethan and Noah. Also survived by one sister Marion HANDLEY of Saint Marys. Predeceased by parents Charles and Mabel CUCKSEY, sister Madeline MILLS and brother Ray CUCKSEY. He will be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews. WHITTAKER, Darlene Patricia (née WALTERS)
Of R.R.#1, Embro passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, November 2, 2006 in her 54th year. She was born at Stratford on November 10, 1952, a daughter of the late Lorne and Ruth LOWES) WALTERS. She owned and operated "Homestyle Catering;" was a member of St. Andrew's United Church, Brooksdale; a member of Embro Memorial Branch #318 Royal Canadian Legion; an Honorary Member of the Kiwanis Club of Stratford and was an avid golfer and member of the Tavistock and Embro Ladies Golf Leagues. Darlene is survived by her husband, Andrew Alex "Andy" WHITTAKER, whom she married at Brooksdale on May 22, 1971; two daughters, Sherri and husband Andrew BELL, Sheila WHITTAKER and companion Dave BELL, all of R.R.#1, Stratford; two sons, Keith WHITTAKER of Embro, Kyle and wife Tracey WHITTAKER of Woodstock; six grandchildren, Brayden, Codie, Griffin and Gracie BELL; Scott BENNETT and Blake WHITTAKER one brother, Bob and wife Gail WALTERS of Stratford; three sisters, Sharon and husband Larry PYE of Ingersoll, Judy WALTERS- CHANDLER of R.R.#2, Embro; Lori and husband Fred ELLIS of R.R.#5, Stratford brothers-in-law and sisters-ni-law, George and Marjorie WHITTAKER of Lakeside, James "Jim" WHITTAKER and Shirley WATLING of Woodstock, Alex and Jane WHITTAKER of Embro along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father-in-law and mother-in-law Alex and Isabella (McFARLAND) WHITTAKER. CAMPBELL, Kenneth Westlake
On Monday, December 25, 2006, Kenneth Westlake CAMPBELL of Saint Thomas, partner and husband of the late Eleanor Genevieve FENWICK (2004,) in his 94th year. He was both a gentleman and a gentle man who, in his quiet way, demonstrated an inner strength and a faith that was a life long example for those who knew and loved him. His family, the focus of his love and the beneficiaries of his life lessons, begin with Janice AICKEN of Kintore, Kenella JOHNSTON and her husband Allen of Ottawa, Dugald CAMPBELL and his wife Lynn of Ada, Michigan and the late Mary LUNN (1993) and son-in-law Duayne LUNN of Mississauga. That love was extended to his 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Born in Saint Thomas, Ontario on September 4, 1913, Kenneth was the son of the late John Arthur, and Mabel Louise (WESTLAKE) CAMPBELL of the River Road and the brother of the late Helen Elizabeth ROSSER. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church and an ordained elder for most of his life and was a past president of the Ontario Mutual Insurance Association. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, Saint Thomas on Thursday, December 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church (Hincks and Mitchell Streets), Saint Thomas on Friday, December 29 at 1: 30 p.m. Interment will be in the Saint Thomas Cemetery, West Avenue. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society and to Elgin Manor gratefully acknowledged.
