Cherished Bubby of Bobby and Gina, Andy and Stacie, David and Marlowe, Jonny and Sam, Lisa and Jeff, Michael and Marla, Debby, and Sharon. Dear Grandmother of Lydia, Jacob, Hillary, Sean, Alexandra, Nicholas, Benjamin and Emily. Survived by her sisters Gladys CAMPBELL, Dora CAMPBELL and Reta DYMENT. A Private Family Service with interment at Stayner Union Cemetery has taken place. RUTHERFORD, Robert Henry "Bob" (January 23, 1919-December 19, Passed away at Parkwood Hospital surrounded by his loving wife and children. Bob had a strong and loving heart that has survived many medical ups and downs, but his faith always kept him positive and upbeat. Bob spent most of his working life at Beatty Bros. Farm Equipment following in his father's footsteps. His career was interrupted by 4 years overseas in the Canadian Armed Forces. After retirement he developed his creative talents by making furniture and jewellery in his garage workshop until the cold weather moved him to his Florida retreat. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Daphne (CHEELE,) his sister Beryl McINTYRE of Kitchener, his brother-in-law R.D. (Pete) CHEELE of London, his children, Judy (Harry CARDWELL,) Wendy RUTHERFORD- DOBSON, Paul (Dianna), Peter (Beth) and Deborah, his grandchildren Jennifer (John McKINNELL), Greg HUCKLE (Tamara BOOTH), Matthew CARDWELL (Adrienne,) Miranda CARDOSO, Sara AINSLIE, Steven, Adam and Andrew RUTHERFORD and his great-grandchildren Jesse, Justin and Selina CARDOSO, Rhys McKINNELL and Summer CARDWELL. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Unexpectedly passed away on January 11, 2006, at the age of 36, after a courageous battle with life. Beloved son of Helen and the late Bill AINSLIE. It is with the deepest shock and sadness that we announce Michael's sudden passing on May 24th, 2006 at the age of 58 at his home in Penticton, British Columbia. Michael is survived by his loving wife, Ellie; daughter Janice RODGERS (Charles;) grandchildren Alexandra and John; sister Anita McCAW (Bill,) niece Lisa (Ralph) nephews Eric (Morgan), Andrew (Jamie), Mark, and David. Michael was well loved for his generous spirit and compassion, both personally and professionally. Through a distinguished career with Manulife Financial's Real Estate division, Michael proved himself to be a consummate, highly respected leader. He centered himself around his family, and was our true touchstone. Michael will be sadly missed. Retired Metropolitan Toronto Police.
Dad passed peacefully on February 26, 2006, at York Central Hospital, at the age of 78. Gil was the beloved husband of the late Grace SCRIVEN and loving father of Wendy AINSWORTH (Steve) and Patrick SCRIVEN (Lee.) He was the cherished Papa of Mike, Jessica, Dan and Derek and Great-Grandpa to Arianna. Gil is survived by his sister Mary MacFARLANE and by his brother Robert SCRIVEN, along with many nieces and nephews. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him for his colourful stories of a life well lived. Our most sincere thanks to all of the wonderful doctors, nurses and support staff of the Dialysis Unit and Palliative Care Unit at York Central Hospital, and to the home care nurses, support staff and mobility drivers who always treated him with kindness and dignity.
