BUTLER, Noreen E. (formerly McCOUBREY, née McBRIEN)
Formerly of Dresden and Glencoe, passed away peacefully at the Kingsway Lodge, Saint Marys on Tuesday February 28, 2006 at the age of 87. Born in Dawn Twp., daughter of the late Robert and Minnie (RUTLEDGE) McBRIEN. Predeceased by her first husband Ray McCOUBREY (1978) and her late husband George BUTLER (2001.) Dear mother of Beverley Ann and Allan SLATER of Lakeside, Marilyn and Frank CARNEGIE of Kingston, Jack and Janet McCOUBREY of Lambeth, Jim McCOUBREY and Deborah KENNISH- McCOUBREY of Annan. Much loved grandmother of Kevin and Kim CARNEGIE, Darrell and Danielle CARNEGIE, Kelly and Byron HORBAY, Ann SLATER, Bill SLATER and Shehnaz ALI, Sarah SLATER and Grant ROBERTSON, Stewart SLATER and Mari VELIZ, Molly McCOUBREY and Derek RUMPH, Jeremy McCOUBREY and Sabrina MURLEY, Patrick McCOUBREY and Stephanie DRYSDALE, and Jenna McCOUBREY. Cherished great-grandmother to Collin and Jacey CARNEGIE, Chantelle, Scott, and Robbie CARNEGIE, Ryan and Ethan HORBAY, Rasheeda and Jude SLATER, Rachel, Liam and Moira ROBERTSON, Sophia and Sean SLATER. Step-mother to Marjorie and Murray CUDNEY and family, Edward and Lynn BUTLER and family, Lori and Brian MARKOWSKI and family, and the family of the late Frank BUTLER. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Shirley (McBRIEN) and Clayton MOORE, Lloyd and Blanche WALKER and Hilda WALKER. Predeceased by her sisters Mildred GAWNE, Lucille GREEN, and her brothers Robert and Gordon WALKER. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The McCOUBREY and BUTLER families will receive Friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria Street, Thamesville on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday March 3, 2006 at 12: 00 noon with Rev. George HAMILTON of Glencoe officiating. Interment Alvinston Cemetery. CARPENTER, William Leonard " Len"
Quietly on Tuesday July 18, 2006 at The Carpenter Hospice, Burlington in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis CARPENTER (1968.) Cherished friend to Jean CARPENTER in Carmel, California. Dear father of Valerie and Jerry HALLIWELL and Ken and Lynda CARPENTER. Loving grandfather to Scott, Lauren, Hayley and Matthew CARPENTER, and Patricia (Bonar) BULGER (née HALLIWELL,) Karen HALLIWELL (fiancé Mason RUNDLE.) Also remembered by his sister Grace SWAN (Al) and predeceased by his brother Norman. Len was the Founder and President of Burlington Diecasting Ltd. and Burlington Technologies Inc. (1965). Among Len's many acts of philanthropy, his most notable was being the major donor and benefactor to The Carpenter Hospice. Many thanks to the staff at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital. Our most heartfelt thanks and admiration to Doctor Mo ALI, the staff and volunteers at The Carpenter Hospice. The loving care and support given to our Dad and family at this amazing home will never be forgotten. Len's wonderful sense of humour, distinctive laugh and knack for having a joke for everyone will be missed. In loving memory of Alice Victoria Darroch (née Presunka), who passed away
Saturday evening on March 11, 2006 at the SRH - St. Joseph's Health Centre
at the age of 89 years. Daughter of the late Angus and Rozalia (Skakun)
Presunka. Wife of the late George Howard Darroch. Mother of David George
Darroch. Cherished grandmother of Bonnie Darroch and her fiancee Glen
Austin, Laurie Darroch and Sherri DeLuca (Darroch) and her husband Dan
DeLuca. Great grandmother of David Austin, Matthew DeLuca, Alexander Austin
and a newborn DeLuca girl. Predeceased by her sisters Matty Patterson
(Presunka), Emily Charbonneau (Presunka) and Phyllis Anderson (Presunka).
Predeceased by brothers Walter (Lad) Presunka, Russel Presunka and David
Presunka. Survived by sister Peggy Goodman (Presunka). Alice retired after
37 years as a registered nurse (practicing). She specialized in many areas
including obstetrics and pediatrics. Alice had a fondness for children,
cooking, gardening, collecting, camping, fishing, knitting, reading and
music. She has knitted countless lamb chop puppets which she donated to
local hospitals and churches. It was Alice's wish not to have any funeral or
visitation services, however the family will hold an open celebration of her
life at a later date. Alice's family would like to thank the Friends and
staff at the St. Joseph's Villa and also the staff at St. Joseph's Health
Centre. Any donations can be made to Alice's favorite charities: the Cancer
Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to the
Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.

Grandfather of Ben, Michael and his wife Allison, Kai, Ellen, Anya, Valarie, Matthew, Mark, Wren, Blake, Jacob, Lisa, Emma, Rachael and Eric. Dear brother of Shirley BERRESFORD. Predeceased by daughter-in-law Christine ASHTON and son-in-law Ed CAMPBELL. Lawrence was a member of the Highgate Masonic Lodge #336 and the Blenheim-Erie Chapter. He was a former Reeve of Orford Township, former Warden of Kent County and active member of Erie St. United Church. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sorur ALIZADEH- TASLIMI to the Abha Kingdom on Sunday, January 29, 2006. Sorur is survived by her three children Janet, Ala and Shahin, her daughters-in-law Brenda and Cina, and her grandchildren Justin, Shayda, Lailee, Ryan, as well as her sister Gloria. She will be greatly missed by the entire Alizadeh and Taslimi families and their extensions throughout many parts of the world.
