Passed away on March 17th, 2006, peacefully, surrounded by family
and Friends. Kevork is survived by his loving and devoted wife,
Armenouhi▼ 'Armen', children Nairy and Yervant 'Eddy'
SHAHINIAN,
their children Hasmig and Krikor, and Vahan and Susie
KOLOLIAN,
and their children Christopher and Tanya. Kervork is also survived
by his sister Mary and brother-in-law Manoug
AMPAGOUMIAN and
their family. Kevork was a self confessed optimist, who never
shied away from challenges. Born in 1928 of Armenian parents
who had fled the genocide in Turkey and settled in Egypt. Kevork
and Armen immigrated from Egypt to Canada with their young children
in 1962. They started their new life in Toronto, establishing
K.K. Precision Industries as a start up manufacturer, growing
it to over 100 employees, which continues today under family
ownership. As Kevork established himself in his adopted country,
Canada, which he dearly loved, he took on many community projects,
in particular leading the establishment of the A.R.S. Kololian
Armenian School. A fun loving, humorous, hard working man, Kevork
will be missed by all. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday,
March 22nd, 2006 at 11 a.m. at the Armenian Evangelical Church,
2600 14th Avenue, Markham (north of Steeles and east of Woodbine
Avenue). In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully received
by: A.R.S. Armenian School, 45 Hallcrown Place, Toronto, M2J 4Y4.
