(1999). Violet graduated as an R.N. from the Ontario Hospital
in London in 1932. She nursed in London, Whitby and Woodstock,
before marrying in 1942, and spending 45 years in Dereham Centre.
She retired from nursing at Parkwood Hospital in London in 1972.
Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
on Sunday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street
South, London where the funeral service will be conducted in
the chapel on Monday, June 19th, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. with Reverend
Junior SORZANO officiating. Interment in Mount Elgin Cemetery,
Mount Elgin Ontario. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations

1922 in Saint Thomas, Ontario. He pursued a career in the Navy
from September 1942 until June 1971 serving on numerous ships
including HMCS Labrador, HMCS Columbia, HMCS Assiniboine.
Following his service in Wold War II he worked for a time at
New York Central Railroad in Saint Thomas as a machinest before
resuming his naval career and being stationed in Nova Scotia
until his retirement in 1971. He was a founding member of the
Navy Club and a proud member of the Branch 501 Lambeth Legion.
Ken could be found on many a Saturday with his friend's and his
dog Valley at Cubby's. He enjoyed many pool parties at his home
with family and Friends and also enjoyed time spent in Toledo
with Gale and Friends at State Aerial. A memorial service will
be held at the Lambeth Legion, 7097 Kilbourne Road, Lambeth on
Sunday, November 12, 2006 from 1: 00-5:00 p.m. Westview Funeral
Chapel 519-641-1793 entrusted with cremation arrangements.

Passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2006 at William Osler Health
Centre, Brampton. Born in what he referred to as the "Land of
Song" - Wales, in a small village, Nantgarw, near Pontypridd,
home of singer Tom Jones. Emigrated, at 7 years of age, to Canada
with his parents and brother, John. Settled in North Hatley on
Lake Massawippi, in what he often referred to as "the beautiful
Eastern Township of Quebec." He would often comment as to "how
dear to his heart were the scenes of his childhood." Served in
the Canadian Army "R.C.E." overseas from 1940-1945. Married his
wife, Daphne, in England in 1942 and celebrated their 60th wedding
anniversary in August 2002. Discharged from the Army in early
1945, settled in Montreal where his wife, Daphne, and 2 year
old son joined him in late 1945. Lived in Montreal until 1962.
Was transferred to Brampton, Ontario by the company now named
"Nortel", where he was employed as Department Manager on his
retirement after some 32 years. His wife and son joined him in
Brampton after several weeks. Predeceased by his daughter, Darlene
age 6, and his son, Barry age 24 years. Also predeceased by his
brother, John. Survived by his wife Daphne, of Brampton and niece,
Rose WEINHOLD of Cowansville, Quebec. A Funeral Service will
be held at Saint_Joseph of Nazareth Anglican Church, 290 Balmoral
Drive, where he was an active member since 1963 on Wednesday,
April 5, 2006 at 10 a.m. with a time of visitation one hour prior.
Cremation to follow at Meadowvale Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted
to Andrews Community Funeral Centre, Bramalea Chapel. 905-456-8190.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society
would be appreciated.
