EVOY, " Bud"
After a valiant fight, an old soldier lost his final battle with cancer. Victorious in life, "Bud" succumbed to this relentless enemy on Tuesday, January 31st, 2006 in the Palliative Care Unit of Parkwood Hospital, in his 84th year. He has left a lifetime of cherished memories in the minds of his best friend and chosen partner Jan, his daughter Carol and her companion Matt. He will be missed by his other children Diane and Jim, grandchildren Gordon, Stephanie, David, Brandon, Jennifer, Amanda, Jason, Christine and George Jr. Bud was the proud great-grandfather of Elizabeth. Predeceased by his first wife Frances and son George. Bud will go to his final resting place in the mausoleum of St. Peter's Cemetery following the service celebrating Bud's life at the Lloyd R. Needham Funeral Chapel, (520 Dundas Street, London), on Friday, February 3rd at 1 p.m. Friends may share their sadness at Bud's passing with his family during visitation on Thursday, February 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The family will always be grateful to Dr. BOLDT and the dedicated nurses at Parkwood Palliative Care Unit for doing their best to make Bud comfortable during his final days. A special thank you goes to Carolyn LANNIN of the Department of Veterans Affairs and Dr. DEMPSEY for their valiant efforts to help Jan keep Bud in his home for as long as possible. The Canadian Cancer Society would be grateful for any donations made in Bud's memory to help continue their efforts to achieve victory in the war against cancer. Tributes may be left at www.mem.com

Formerly of R.R.#4 Dresden, passed away peacefully at Fiddicks Nursing Home, Petrolia on Saturday July 1st, 2006 at the age of 83. Born in Dawn Twp., daughter of the late Forest and Pearl (FERGUSON) LEESON. Beloved wife of the late Elton H. LOOSEMORE (1999.) Loving mother of Nancy and Dale EVOY of Terrace Bay Ontario., Donna LONDON of Thunder Bay, William and Elaine LOOSEMORE of R.R.#5 Tilbury, David and Kim LOOSEMORE of Corunna, Allan and Janet LOOSEMORE of Chatham. Loving grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Shirley, Mrs. Charles NEALE of London. Predeceased by a daughter Judy LOOSEMORE, sisters Eva MILLER, Audrey ELLIS, and brothers Percy, and Owen. The LOOSEMORE family will receive Friends at the Badder Visitation and Reception Centre, 679 North Street, Dresden (683-4444) on Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday July 5, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. Cremation with interment of cremains in Black Creek Cemetery, Oil Springs at a later date. At Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham-Kent, on Saturday December 23, 2006, Gail Noreen O'MEARA, age 65, of Chatham, beloved wife of the late Victor CHEPEKA (1981.) Born in Chatham in 1941, daughter of the late Ann EVOY and Michael O'MEARA, Gail worked for Para-Med and was a member of St. Agnes Church. Loving mother of Ann MURRAY of London, Shannon GRIFFITH of Stratford, Carrie DIBBLEY and husband Joe of Cambridge, Mark SKINNER and wife Paula of Chatham, Brian SKINNER and wife Tina of London and by 2 step-sons; Victor CHEPEKA of Amherstburg and Dana CHEPEKA of Peterborough. Sadly missed by 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Carol O'MEARA of Mississauga, Brian O'MEARA of Nova Scotia and Patrick O'MEARA of Chatham. She is predeceased by a brother Michael O'MEARA. Friends and relatives may call at the Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday December 26, 2006.
