Bud"
After a valiant fight, an old soldier lost his final battle with
cancer. Victorious in life, "Bud" succumbed to this relentless
enemy on Tuesday, January 31st, 2006 in the Palliative Care Unit
of Parkwood Hospital, in his 84th year. He has left a lifetime
of cherished memories in the minds of his best friend and chosen
partner Jan, his daughter Carol and her companion Matt. He will
be missed by his other children Diane and Jim, grandchildren
Gordon, Stephanie, David, Brandon, Jennifer, Amanda, Jason, Christine
and George Jr. Bud was the proud great-grandfather of Elizabeth.
Predeceased by his first wife Frances and son George. Bud will
go to his final resting place in the mausoleum of St. Peter's
Cemetery following the service celebrating Bud's life at the
Lloyd R. Needham Funeral Chapel, (520 Dundas Street, London),
on Friday, February 3rd at 1 p.m. Friends may share their sadness
at Bud's passing with his family during visitation on Thursday,
February 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The family will always be
grateful to Dr.
BOLDT and the dedicated nurses at Parkwood Palliative
Care Unit for doing their best to make Bud comfortable during
his final days. A special thank you goes to Carolyn
LANNIN of
the Department of Veterans Affairs and Dr.
DEMPSEY for their
valiant efforts to help Jan keep Bud in his home for as long
as possible. The Canadian Cancer Society would be grateful for
any donations made in Bud's memory to help continue their efforts
