Of Aylmer at Saint Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 in her 80th year. Reunited after a 20 year wait with her true love Bruce (1986). Helen will be forever loved and missed by her sons Merle WARD of Aylmer and Scott WARD and partner Shannon JUKES of Aylmer, a grand_son Brody, and by her other family Dennis, Annette and Brandon DUNN as well as Cork, Joan and Jeff WARD. Also survived by Bruce and Penny TOLMIE, Skip and Nina DUNN, Steve and Doreen DUNN, Glenda and Jack McKENZIE and families. Born in Borneo on May 3, 1927 daughter of the late Merle and Margaret (GLEASON) VOLWAY. Predeceased by her sister Cathy ROBINSON and her nephew David ROBINSON. Helen worked at Canadian National Railway for 22 years and delivered Meals on Wheels. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 1: 00 p.m. at the Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer. At London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital on Sunday, February 12, 2006 Marion F. (ROULSTON) BERE of R.R.#1 Arva. Beloved wife of William G. (Bill) BERE. Dear mother of Lynda BERE and her husband Randy GELLENDER of R.R.#1 Arva. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Geraldine TOWNSEND of Plymouth, Michigan and Mary ROULSTON of London. Also survived by her many nieces and nephews in Canada and the United States. Predeceased by sisters Norma GLEDHILL, Jean DONLEY and brothers Keith, Charles and Wilmer ROULSTON. Marion taught at the elementary school level and was the first Principal of Northdale Public School London in the 1950's. She retired as a Resource teacher from Centennial Central, Arva. Marion served on many volunteer organizations including the Middlesex County Library Board, Thorndale Women's Institiute, Middlesex Elgin Hereford Association, Victorian Order of Nurses Homme Program, Zion United Church Women and O.A.S.W.T. She was an avid gardener winning many prizes over the years at local fall fairs. At Marion's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral home visitation. Of Saint Thomas, on Wednesday, November 22, 2006, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 93rd year. Beloved husband of 60 years of Lillian (HARRIS) JORDAN and dearly loved father of Anita and her husband Murray DELOUW of London, Kenneth of Saint Thomas and Terry and his wife Nancy of Saint Thomas. Loved grandfather of Janine, Leanne, Alaina, Jordan, Paul (Leanna) and Julie (Tim). Dear brother of Velma WATSON of London. Predeceased by 2 brothers Andrew and James JORDAN and by 2 sisters Melrose GLEDHILL and Grace NEIL. Sadly missed by 3 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Lefty was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on December 8, 1913. Lefty was a life member of Talbot Lodge #546 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons, a member of the Flower City Chapter 91 of the Eastern Star, member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 41, 7th Field Regimental Association Royal Canadian Artillery. He served during World War 2 with the 7th Field Regt. Royal Canadian Artillery and with the Queens Own Cameron Highlanders of Winnipeg in France, Holland, Belgium, and Germany. He was a former manager of Savage Shoe, he worked at Allis Chalmers and Jaeger Machine. He was one of the last remaining boxers that represented Saint Thomas in 1930. Lefty was a member of the Thames Valley Beagle Club and a life member of the Elgin Beagle Club. He was a member of Saint_John's Anglican Church. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Saturday at 1: 00 p.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Mal (Malachi Edward QUIGLEY) and her devoted parents, Caroline Kaiser WINTERMEYER and Alfred Carl WINTERMEYER and her much beloved brother and sister, John WINTERMEYER and Rita SHONIKER, each who nurtured in her the incredibly strong sense of commitment, love and compassion to others. Mary taught her children, John QUIGLEY, Ted▼ QUIGLEY, Caroline QUIGLEY, Meg▼ and Gerry HAWKINS, Therese QUIGLEY, Patrick QUIGLEY and Daniel QUIGLEY, that compassion for others is the greatest virtue and expression of a true love of God. Died peacefully at North York General Hospital, on Monday, March 20, 2006, in her 68th year as a member of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Loretto Sisters,) daughter of the late James GLEESON and Elizabeth CONNOR. Predeceased by her sister Anne Sheila GLEESON. Sister Linda taught at Port Colborne, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Stratford, Fort Erie and Guelph where she was principal, teacher and librarian for thirty years. Fondly remembered by her many students, colleagues and Friends. Dearly loved husband of Daphne (THORNDYCRAFT) FERGUSON and loved father of Steven and his wife Sandra FERGUSON of Saint Thomas, Susan and her husband Dave BROWN of Saint Thomas, Sandra and her husband Bill LYNCH of Port Stanley, Sharon and her husband John CUMMINGS of Shedden and Shelley VANDENBROEK of Saint Thomas. Dear sister of Donna and her husband Hugh LYLE of Saint Thomas. Sadly missed by 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Bill was born in Chicago on February 25, 1927, the son of the late Charles and Rosannie (GLENN) FERGUSON. He resided in the Union, Port Stanley and Saint Thomas areas most of his life. Bill was a retired sales tax auditor with the Provincial Government. He was a member of Saint Mark's Lodge #94 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons, Port Stanley, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. London Lodge of Perfection, London Chapter Rose Croix, Moore Sovereign Consistory, Hamilton 32nd degree, the Provost Corps. and was a Jester. He had played baseball, fastball and hockey and coached minor sports a number of years. Bill was a Past President of the Saint Thomas Curling Club, past member of the Saint Thomas Golf Club and the Belmont Golf Club. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1: 00 p.m. Visitation on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined. Passed away peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Monday, March 6, 2006, after a long struggle with cancer. Ordained in 1947, he spent the next 46 years serving the United Church of Canada in various capacities; including his time as Bay of Quinte Conference Minister, Personnel. His life of 87 years was well lived, spent learning and loving, building and taking joy in community. Loved and dearly missed by his wife of over 60 years Marjory CUNNINGHAM; and by his children Peter, Mary Beth, and Christopher; their past and present partners Andrea LEVAN, Ronda LENTI, Kim ZAPF, Bill SCHRAM, Trish WALLACE, and Kelly HIGGINS his grandchildren Jeremy (wife Carolyn), Robert, Marybeth (Partner Nathan GLENTWORTH,) Rebecca (fiancee James CAVEN,) Matthew, and Griffin.
