MARSHALL, Therese Marie Marthe Marin
Born in Trois Rivieres, Quebec on Saturday, November 14, 1925. Passed away at the age of 80 years, of a short illness Friday, March 31, 2006. Therese, widow of Samuel MARSHALL of Newfoundland, moved to Toronto in September 1948. Loving Mother of Robert MARSHALL, beloved Nanny of Tracey Marshall MILNE and husband Jon W. MILNE and of Kevin R. MARSHALL. Beloved great-grandmother of Frederick S.W. MILNE. Survived by brother Roland MARIN and sister Noella MARIN and predeceased by sister Yolande. Dear sister-in-law to Violet MARSHALL and Jeanine MARIN. Dearest friend of Hellen (Nell) CULL and Kathy IMRE. Proud second cousin of Andre MARIN, Ontario Ombudsman. Loving aunt to all nieces and nephews in Newfoundland, Quebec, Ontario, Alberta and parts unknown. Therese was a proud member of the Naval Club of Toronto, an avid player of euchre and darts, she danced and sang with élan and joi de vivre. Though diminutive, Therese was a strong woman of fierce character and maintained and defended her rights and her Canadienne Heritage regardless of the size, popularity or ferocity of detractors. The same pride was instilled in her son, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. She died unbowed, undefeated. She will be dearly missed. Called Home, we will see her again. It is not adieu, merely au revoire. Je me reccommende a mon Dieu l'espirit de mon mamman. Friends may call at the "Scarborough Chapel" of McDougall and Brown, 2900 Kingston Road (east of St. Clair Ave. E.) on Monday, April 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. andTuesday, April 4 from 10: 30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Funeral service will follow in the chapel on Tuesday at 11 a.m.

He also treasured his salmon fishing expeditions with Friends. He will be deeply missed.
