Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, on Sunday, February 5, 2006 at Baycrest Apotex Centre. Charney REITAPPLE, beloved wife of the late Hush REITAPPLE. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Cheryl and Steven GELLMAN, Susan and Richard ISRAEL, and Lisa and Jay CHARENDOFF. Loving Nana of Dana, Misha, Steven, Sandy, Michael, Miriam, and Hally. Dear sister of Phil and Gilda MANDELBAUM and the late Minnie WEXLER, Mary GOLDHAR, Fanny DRYER, Pearl CLARFIELD, Goldie SCHROTT, Irving MANDELBAUM, Jean CRAFT, Freda AXMITH, and Al MANLEY. Sister-in-law to Sylvia MANDELBAUM, Edie MANLEY, and Esther REITAPPLE. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to her devoted companions Imelda GOLERO, and Mila MANANSALA. Charney was dearly loved and will be missed by everyone. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Ave. W. 92 years, Monday, May 8, 2006 at the Meadowbrook Residence, Lively, with his loving family at his side. Husband of Gerda (ISRAELSON) FIELDING (predeceased 2000.) Father of Carman Jr. (wife Sandra) and Myrna (husband Ross CUDNEY,) both of Lively, Douglas (wife Gaye) of Sudbury, Barbara (husband Robert MAJER) of Lively, Karen (husband Ken SHAW) of Whitefish, Dan (wife Joanne) and Michael (wife Elise,) both of Lively, Kathy (husband Michael CULL) of Sudbury, Laurie of Hawaii, and Lynda BENNETT of Worthington. Cherished grandfather of 24 grandchildren Dean, Stacie, Kent and Shelli; Kimberly, Dana and Meredith; Sheldon, Tara and Sharilyn, Andrea and Nathan, Lori, Jennifer and Michelle; Shayne and Brent, Jonathan, Jason and Ryan, Jesse, Lauren and Jordan and Davina, 23 great-grandchildren Alexander, Gillian, Yasmin, Kenyan, Duncan, Olivia, Kendra and Darria; Parker, William, Fielding and Benjamin Graham, Grant, Kory, Kayleigh and Mykaila; Christine, Blake and Jack, McKenzie, Anton and Georgia. GIBERSON, Garfield Manzer
On Sunday, December 3rd, 2006, Garfield Manzer GIBERSON, age 89 of Sarnia passed away at Marshall Manor in Sarnia. Loving husband of the late Eva (LICKFOLD) GIBERSON (1997,) dear father of daughters Diane GIBBONS (Max FREER) of Sarnia, Carol GIBERSON of Oakville and Maureen ISREALS (Fred) of London and sons Barry GIBERSON (Diane) of Mooretown and Brian GIBERSON (Janet) of Unionville, grandfather of Carla BOLTON (Paul,) Justine LOADER (David,) Michael ISBER (Carol), Aaron ISBER, Scott COOLMAN (Jodie), Amy LANDERS (Paul,) Mark GIBERSON, Dale GIBERSON, Laura GIBERSON and Nicole GIBERSON, great-grandfather of Julie and Jenna BOLTON, Tyson and Victoria PARKER, Tatum LOADER, Holly ISBER, Madison COOLMAN and Benjamin and Jacquelyn LANDERS, brother of Kenneth (Pete) GIBERSON, Wendel GIBERSON, Fred GIBERSON and Vernon GIBERSON. He was predeceased by his father Frank Garfieled GIBERSON (1958,) his mother Helen Estella (WRIGHT) GIBERSON (1983,) sisters Frances and Madeline GIBERSON and brothers John, Arthur and Burton GIBERSON. Several nieces, nephews and in-laws also survive. Mr. GIBERSON was a veteran of World War 2 and a Petrolia resident for many years before moving to Sarnia. Funeral services will be held from the D.J. Robb Funeral Home, (102 N. Victoria Street, Sarnia, Ontario, N7T 5W9) on Wednesday, December 6th at 1: 00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hillsdale Cemetery in Petrolia. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday between the hours of 2: 00-4:00 and 7: 00-9:00 p.m. Memorial gifts to Pathways Health Center for Children (1240 Murphy Rd., Sarnia, Ontario., N7S 2Y6) would be appreciated by the family.
