DE ABREU, Wilhelmina
Peacefully, on March 10, 2006, at Shepherd Lodge, Toronto, at the age of 89, after a lengthy and courageous journey through Alzheimer's disease. She was the loving wife of the late Frank DE ABREU and will be forever remembered and cherished by her children Terrence (Desiree,) Michael (Liz,) Camille COX (Tony,) Desiree BUCKLEY (Dave), Barbara JEKIR (Gerry), Bernard (Marian), Rose MOUNCEY (Mike,) and Jacqueline GUY (Peter.) She was the loving grandmother of 22 grandchildren, and great-grandmother of 27. She is survived by her sister Elva, and her two sisters-in-law, Olga and Laudia. Special thanks to Avis, her generous friend and caring companion. Thanks also to the staff of Floor Two at Shepherd Lodge, for their care and support. Visitation at Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E. (east of Kennedy Rd.), on Tuesday, March 14th at 2: 30-4:00 p.m. and 6:30-9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at Holy Spirit Church, Sheppard Ave. E. (east of Warden), on Wednesday, March 15, at 10: 00 a.m. Interment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to the Guyana Christian Charities (Canada) Inc.

AKEY, Willy (née OLIE)
On Thursday, September 28, 2006 Willy AKEY (née OLIE) passed away in her 63rd year, resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus. Beloved mother of David AKEY (wife Lisa) of Kitchener, Darren AKEY (wife Melissa) of Stratford, Derek AKEY of Victoria, British Columbia and Margaret VREUGDENHIL- BEAUCLERC (husband Ken) of Owen Sound. Sadly missed by her mother Sadie OLIE of London and predeceased by her father Dirk (1993). Loving grandmother of Beau; Ema, Owen, Keira; Connor, Avery and Spencer. Dear sister of Helen OLIE, twin-sister Cora THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON (husband Lloyd) and Elly JEKL (husband Andy) all of London. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at the Bieman Funeral Home, Dorchester, Ontario on Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. with Rev. Junior C. SORZANO officiating. (Visitation one hour prior). Interment at Dorchester Union Cemetery.
