side. He was predeceased by his adored daughter Frances, he is
survived by his wife Joy, his sons Brian and Russell, his daughters-in-law
Jewel and Kaye and his cherished grandchildren Bradley, Todd,
Chris, Ali and Leila. Visitation on Thursday, April 20, 2006
from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge
Street, (at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral service to be
held on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 9: 30 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist
Church, 1100 Finch Avenue East, Toronto. Interment Westminster

Born in Riga, Latvia on February 11, 1911. After a gradual decline,
died peacefully at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, Ontario on January
24, 2006. Predeceased by her husband Dr. Voldemars (1910-1980).
Proud mother of Dr. Voldemars with Brigita, Julija with Janis,
Mirdza with Eric, Kristina with Janis, Ilze, Ausma, Janis with
Ligita. Loving grandmother of Mara with Eriks, Laima with Peteris,
Austra, Zinta with Grants, Selga with Edgars, Sandra with Peteris,
Karlis with Kathy, Kenneth, Andrew, Velta with Brock, Sarma with
Mark, Imants with Marcie, Laila, Anita with Simon, Maija with
Ben, and Daina with Jeff. Cherished great-grandmother of Andrejs,
Marika, Maija, Liva, Martins, Darija, Benjamins, Sandis, Karlis,
Ilmars, Julija, Silvija and Livija. Sister of Aina and Austra.
Predeceased by her brother Valdis and sister Milda. Friends may

worked as an Aircraft maintenance Engineer, and was in the process of moving
from Powassan to Timmins, a transfer with Voyageur Airways, his employer.
Brian was the kind of person who always made you smile, and he always had a
big smile. Anyone who knew Brian will smile as they remember his way of
wearing his hat in a variety of ways. He will be greatly missed by his
cousins who were his best Friends, and his many other Friends who he dearly
loved to visit on Manitoulin where he enjoyed hunting and fishing or any
outdoor activities. Brian's greatest love was his family. He adored Julie
and his kids. Brian will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband,
father, son, son-in-law, brother, grand_son and friend. Brian and Nathan's
absence will leave a huge void in the lives of all who knew them. Devoted
