MASSEL, Harvey “Tony&rdquo
Harvey Henry “Tony” MASSEL, 70 of Shakespeare passed away in Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, March 16th, 2006. He was born in Saugeen, Ontario on August 26th, 1935 a son of the late Milton MASSEL and the former Vivian LADD. Tony was an equipment operator with the Ministry of Transportation until his retirement in April of 1996; he was a member of North and South Easthope Volunteer Fire Department for twenty-two years where he had served as Fire Chief; was a former member of Shakespeare Optimist Club and a member of Shakespeare Presbyterian Church. He married the former Marjorie Jean KENNEDY at Meaford on December 22nd, 1955. She predeceased him on June 27th, 2004. He is survived by two sons, Anthony “Tony” and wife Sandy MASSEL of Gadshill, Gary MASSEL of Shakespeare; three daughters, Ann MASSEL of Mitchell, Linda and husband David DIEHL of Simcoe, Susan MASSEL and friend Johan LAGRAINGE of Stratford; six grandchildren, Stephen and Mathew DIEHL, Michelle and husband Shane RESTOULE, Sarah McEWIN, Pat MASSEL and Timothy LAGRAINGE; two great-grandchildren, Sam and Hannah RESTOULE; his special friend, Maxine MARKS of Seaforth one brother, Charles LADD of Ayr; two sisters, Bonnie COOPER of Palmerston, Florence and her husband Ross KUEHL of Southampton and brother-in-law, Roland DOUBROUGH of St. Catharines. He was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Jane LADD and his brother-in-law, Carl COOPER. Relatives and Friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock on Sunday from 2: 00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Monday, March 20th, 2006 at 2: 00 p.m. Stanley DIEHL of Innerkip will officiate. Interment in South Easthope Cemetery, Shakespeare. A resident of Arkona, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2006 at Strathroy Middlesex General, at the age of 86. George was born in Watford and was a son of the late Basil and Jemima (HOLLINGSWORTH) RICHARDSON. Survived by his wife, Ruth. Predeceased by his first wife Laura (Johnson) RICHARDSON. Loving father and father-in-law of: Lynn and Kerry KUEHL of Wingham and Newt and Deb RICHARDSON of Wallaceburg and Matt and Ursula RICHARDSON of London. Dear grandfather of: Ryan, Kristan, Laura, Michelle, Nicole and Kate. Dear brother and brother-in-law of: Pat and Bob GRAHAM of Grand Bend. Predeceased by a brother, William "Bill" RICHARDSON and a sister Ethel WATSON. The late George RICHARDSON rested at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd., 639 Elgin Street, in Wallaceburg. At his request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 19, 2006 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society may be left at the funeral home. Peacefully with her family at her side at the Bluewater Health-Mitton Street Site-Sarnia on Friday, July 7, 2006. Shirley Bernice ARNOLD, age 67 years of Sarnia. Beloved wife of William "Bill" ARNOLD. Loving mother of Lee Ann LAM and her husband Ed, Kathy BROWN and her husband Fred, and Esther LANDRY and her husband Ron, all of Sarnia. Dear grandmother of Jennifer, Karl, Kenrick, Chantel, Edmond, Katie, Scotty and Meagan. Also survived by her brother Donald THOMAS and his wife Lee of Texas and her sister Barbara SMITH of Sarnia. Predeceased by her son Kenneth Thomas ARNOLD (1979) and by her parents Garnet and Beatrice THOMAS. At Parkwood Hospital, London, on Wednesday, February 15th, 2006 after a brief illness, Elaine Edith (DAUM) PIGEON of London in her 85th year. Beloved wife of Leo. Survived by her sisters Mary HENDERSON of London and Dorothy KUEHNBAUM of Burlington and 9 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Albert and Leah, and brother Harry of Kitchener. Up until two years ago Elaine and Leo spent 20 most enjoyable winters in Fort Myers, Florida. Family and Friends will be received at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London (433-5184), on Saturday February 18th from 12 Noon until service time at 1 p.m. Interment at a later date in Memory Gardens, Breslau, Ontario. WATTERS, James Smith " Hamish" (1913-2006)
Passed away peacefully in Toronto on May 4, 2006 in his 94th year. Beloved husband of Hazel Elizabeth (Betty) for 50 years. James will be missed by his stepson Richard KUEHNER and his wife Randi, grandchildren Jennifer and Stephen and great-grandchildren Kindred, Mason, Mackenzie and Alivia all of Calgary. James was born in Scotland on March 10, 1913 but was raised in Dublin, Ireland. He served as a pilot in the Royal Air Force, Bomber Command during World War 2 and as a B.O.A.C. Captain after the war. After immigrating to Canada, James was introduced to the tea business and became one of Canada's premier tea tasters and blenders. James was also a Life Member of the Royal Canadian Yacht Club, where he indulged his passion for sailing. A private family service will be held in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

WATTERS, Hazel Elizabeth "Betty" (formerly KUEHNER)
Passed away peacefully at The Beverley Centre, Midnapore in Calgary on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at the age of 86. Betty was predeceased by her first husband Captain Gordon Voelker "Pete" KUEHNER, United States Air Force, missing in action, Korea and by her second husband James S. "Hamish" WATTERS on May 4, 2006. Betty was a dearly loved and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She is survived by her son Richard KUEHNER (Randi,) granddaughter Jennifer KUEHNER- BENESH (Scott,) grand_son Stephen KUEHNER (Melissa) and great-grandchildren Kindred, Mason, Mackenzie and Alivia. She also leaves behind her closest and life long friend June McLEAN and her dear cousin Joan CLARKE. Betty was born in Windsor, Ontario on July 13, 1920. She attended Whitney school and Jarvis Collegiate in Toronto. Betty was an elegant lady, an avid and accomplished bridge player and had a unique sense of humour. She always referred to the number "13" as her lucky number. She will be missed by her family, Friends and acquaintances. The funeral service will be held at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), on Friday, November 3rd at 11 o'clock. The family will receive Friends during the hour prior to the service.
