Peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre-University Hospital on Wednesday, October 11, 2006, Mrs. Jean LUMB of London in her 85th year. Beloved wife of the late Allan LUMB (1997.) Loving daughter of the late Mrs. Ida PATILLO (1978.) Dear sister of the late George PATILLO (1995) and sister-in-law of Don and Pauline LUMB. Fondly remembered by many Friends that loved her dearly. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, where the funeral will be conducted on Saturday, October 14th, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Passed away peacefully on Monday, April 3, 2006, in his 73rd year, at the Bridgepoint Health Centre (formerly Riverdale Hospital). Predeceased by his devoted and loving mother Isobel DAY (nee LUMBERS) and his father John "Jack" DAY. His 13 cousins and their families, as well as his many Friends, will fondly remember Bruce. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at the Bridgepoint Health Centre, especially the doctors, nurses and caregivers at 6 East. A special thank you to Bruce's best friend and caregiver, Roland LEANBROSZ, for his enduring Friendship that greatly enriched Bruce's life. A memorial service will be held in early June at the Simple Alternative Funeral Centre, 275 Lesmill Road, Toronto. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Bridgepoint Health Centre would be greatly appreciated by Bruce.

Grandmother of Janet Turner (Dave WARDLE) and Susanne Turner and great grandmother of Jared and Caitlin WARDLE all of Ottawa. Sister-in-law of Olive LUMLEY of Saint Thomas, Esther McDOUGALL of Toronto and Grant LUMLEY of Tunbridge Wells, England. Aunt of Judith PAGE of St. Catharines. Cousin of Patricia CLINTON of Port Stanley. She will be especially remembered by her friend Gary McCULLOCH of Saint Thomas. Shirley was predeceased by her sister M. Eileen Lyddon (1980). Born in Saint Thomas, December 30, 1921, the daughter of the late Calvin W. and Louisa B. SUMNER) ELLIS. Veteran of the Canadian Merchant Navy Predeceased by his beloved wife Edna (née LUMMISS.) Much loved husband, father, teacher, grandfather, and story-teller. Larry died surrounded by his family and cared for by the compassionate nurses of Level 3 Surgery at the Queensway Carleton Hospital. Loving father of Alison (Norman), Mark (Janet), Nancy (Pauline), and Andrew (Heather). Grandfather extraordinaire to Michael, Philip, Christopher, Robbie, Laurel, and Jamie. We will miss his wisdom, insights and good humour.
