STRONG
of Maberly. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Florence
had many happy memories of her childhood in Maberly, Ontario.
It was during these years, that she developed a strong and enduring
bond of love for her family. Being the eldest of five children,
she provided inspiration, caring direction and encouragement
for her sisters and brothers. In 1935, she graduated with honors
from the University of Toronto with a baccalaureate degree in
classics and education. She taught secondary school in Ottawa
during which time she met her beloved Ted. She also taught in
Chatham and Petrolia. She studied art and was an avid and gifted
artist of oils and enjoyed travel. She was an honorary member
of the Rotary Club of Petrolia and a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary
International, a member of the Margaret Stokes Chapter of Imperial
Order of the Daughters of the Empire, the Sarnia/Lambton Retired
Teachers of Ontario and Saint Paul's United Church. Above all,
her passions were her family -- her husband, children, grandchildren,
parents, sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews; and her dear
Friends. Cremation has taken place. A service to remember the
life of Florence
BROHMAN will be announced at a future date.
Interment of cremated remains will be in Ayr Cemetery. As expressions
of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the
Ted Brohman Memorial Scholarship Fund and may be arranged by
calling the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia at 519-882-0100.

in Ayr Cemetery. A service to remember the life of Florence

will be held at Saint Paul's United Church, Petrolia, on Saturday,
June 10, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Robert M.
GIBSON officiating.
