MAHWINGKEE,
Celli
The Mad Mongolian Prince, sadly passed away on February 24, 2006,
at Cedars Medical Center, Miami, Florida. Born in Kingston, Jamaica,
Celli attended St. George's College (Jamaica), College of the
Holy Cross (Massachusetts), and recently enjoyed classes at Miami
Dade Community College (Florida). Besides art and a great appreciation
for womankind and good company, Celli's passion was cricket.
In fact, as a young man, he represented St. George's College
in the Sunlight Cricket competition and helped to lead it to
victory in 1948. Terribly avant-garde, Celli was a vastly talented
and creative advertising genius who ran his own advertising company
for many years in London (Cemel Ltd.) and
in Jamaica
(NCM
Ltd.,)
and in recent years acted as a Creative and Marketing Consultant
in Miami, Toronto and the Caribbean. Known to be ever good of
heart, fun-loving, a raconteur extraordinaire, Celli was loved
by all and will be sadly missed by his many Friends and family
members. Join us as we gather Saturday, March 11th, in the Chapel
of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 11291 South West 142nd
Avenue, Miami, Florida 33186 (enter on 142nd Avenue), for a viewing
between 9: 30 to 10:00 a.m., immediately followed by a Thanksgiving
Service for the life of Celli. Cheerful colours please. In lieu
of flowers, contributions may be made in Celli's name to his
alma mater, and sent to The Endowment Fund of St. George's College,
Winchester Park, C.S.O. Box 8038, Kingston, Jamaica, attention
Father Michael Proterra.
