farmer. He was a Health Consultant for the Scarborough Board
of Education, and a physical education teacher until his retirement.
He was the first grower of industrial hemp in North America in
60 years, and because of this achievement was made an Honorary
Kentucky Colonel for the pioneering of Industrial Hemp. The family
will receive Friends and family at Saint_John's Anglican Church
in Tillsonburg on Saturday May 13, 2006 at 11 a.m. where a Memorial
Service will he held to honour Joe's memory and life. Rev. Richard
JONES officiating. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment in Tillsonburg
Cemetery. Ostrander's Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg
(842-5221) entrusted with funeral arrangements. Memorial donations
(payable by cheque only) may be made to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation, or to Saint_John's Anglican Church and may be made
