MURPHY, Mary Julia
Peacefully at Elmwood Place, surrounded by her family on January 30th, 2006, Mary Julia MURPHY in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late William Patrick MURPHY. Loving mother of Lynne BOYLE and Judy ROUNTHWAITE (David.) Dear grandmother of Patti, Lori, Andy, Jon and William. Great grandmother of Nick, Nicole and Braden. Survived by her sisters Cordilia CAMINITE, Sally LANG, Ann MULCAHY and Edith COYLE- OFFENHAUER. She will be sadly missed by special friend Cathy SALVADOR. Predeceased by her brothers Dolph, Joseph and Nick, sister Phyllis and grand_son Alan. Visitation will be held at the Lloyd R. Needham Funeral Chapel on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 2nd, 2006 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at St. Peters Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Foundation would be appreciated.

Loving wife of the late George WINTER (1983.) Beloved Mother of Barbara WINTER, Lynda KNOWLES and her husband Rob, Donna WINTER and her husband Scott PALMER and Jacqueline OFFICER and her husband Philip, all of London. Loving Grandmother to her 6 grandchildren: Thomas, Jaclyn, Robyn, Lindsay, Lucas and Samuel. Survived by 2 brothers, 4 sisters and predeceased by 1 sister. Cremation. Passed away peacefully after a long illness in the Palliative Care Unit of Saint_Joseph's Hospital, Peterborough, on Saturday, December 23, 2006 in her 81st year. Beryl, beloved wife of the late Michael. Loving mother of Christopher (wife Beverley) of Niagara on-the-Lake, Paul (wife Rita) of Oakville and Peter (wife Catherine) of Peterborough. Dear Nanny of Andrew, David and Jennifer, Michelle and Graham, and Philip and Stephen. Sister of Ethel NIEWOLSKI, June HARMSWORTH and the late Doris THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON, Kathleen OLDFIELD and Harold THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON. Best friend of Mary RAWLINGS and Jean SOWERBY. She will be missed by her many Friends and relatives. Beryl retired from teaching after a career that spanned 30 years. She started teaching developmentally handicapped children at Trafalgar School and went on to teaching English and Guidance at Kenner Collegiate. A gifted teacher, "Mrs, O" will be fondly remembered by her many students whose lives she influenced. Beryl's courage and determination to change teaching helped pave the way for those who followed her. Friends will be received at the Comstock Funeral Home, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough (705) 745-4683, on Thursday, December 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, December 29, at 11: 00 a.m. Donations to the Salvation Army would be gratefully acknowledged. Our sincere thanks to the kind staff of Princess Gardens, the Palliative Care Unit at Saint_Joseph's Hospital and Lorraine, Marie and Anne for their care and companionship in Mom's final days.
