LYEN, Walter Emiel
Suddenly, after a long struggle with Leukemia, on Thursday, April 20, 2006, Walter Emiel LYEN of Tillsonburg, in his 65th year. Born in Zandhoven, Antwerpen, Belgium, April 11, 1942, son of the late Jozef L. LYEN (January 26, 1995.) Much loved son of Louisa Maria (MARIEN) LYEN of Tillsonburg. Walter was in the vegetable wholesale business in Leamington (in previous years). Also survived by two sisters: Maria MERTENS of R.R.#2, Ruthven and the late Ludo (December 1, 2004) and Simonne and her husband Joe DOCKX of R.R.#1, Clear Creek. Also survived by a nephew, David DOCKX and his wife Teresa and a niece, Bernice and her husband Chris VAN OOTEGHEM, all of R.R.#1, Clear Creek and great-nieces: Alexandra, Lauren and Jaime and a great-nephew Jeremy. Friends and relatives can visit with the family on Sunday from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Verhoeve Funeral Home, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg (519) 842-4238. Parish Prayers are Sunday at 3: 00 p.m. Funeral Mass of a Christian burial on Monday at 10: 00 a.m. at the Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 51 Venison St. W., Tillsonburg by Rev. Father Matthew GEORGE. Interment to follow in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Saint_Joseph's Leukemia Research or Saint Mary's Church would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

At the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital after a short illness on Sunday, May 21, 2006 Louisa (MARIEN) LYEN of Tillsonburg in her 95th year. She resided in Tillsonburg for the past 30 years. A member of Saint Mary's R.C. Church Tillsonburg and C.W.L. Dear daughter of the late Louis MARIEN and late former Maria DE GROOF. Predeceased by her husband Jozef L. LYEN (January 26, 1995.) Dear mother and mother-in-law of Maria MERTENS, R.R.#2 Ruthven and late Ludo MERTENS (December 1, 2004,) Simonne and Joe DOCKX, R.R.#1 Clear Creek, by her late son Walter Emiel LYEN (April 20, 2006.) Proud grandmother to David and Teresa DOCKX, Bernice and Chris VAN OOTEGHEM. By 4 great-grandchildren Alexandra, Lauren, Jaime, Jeremy. Predeceased by 1 sister, 4 brothers all in Belgium.
