AMMAR, Miriam Rachel (née ORLAN)
Died on Sunday, April 2nd, 2006, peacefully and with dignity at home in the loving embrace of her family, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Beloved wife of Mark, adored mother of Ron and Judy, devoted daughter of Sam and Norma ORLAN, dear sister of Tammy and Arnie ROSS, Rosie and Ken SHELSON, loving aunt to Jared, Rebecca, Jonathan, Eric and Lee, faithful friend to Kathy and Don SEATON. Funeral at 11: 00 a.m. on Monday, April 3rd, 2006 at Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Avenue West. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Sunnybrook Foundation, 416-480-4483. The family wishes to express its deepest gratitude for the compassionate care given to Miriam by Doctor Ray OSBORNE and the team at Sunnybrook and Women.

ORLANDO, Frank Joseph
On January 5, 2006, Frank ORLANDO passed away peacefully, in his sleep, surrounded by his loving wife of 60 years Esther, sons Thomas and Michael, daughter Louise, and close family friend Joseph. Also survived by his daughter-in-law Virginia; grandchildren Jonathan, Tamara, Stephanie and Michael; his sister Ida and her husband Al TUCKER. He will be lovingly remembered by his many relatives, Friends and extended family: Gary and Josie SANDRIN, Vince and Viola ARNONE, and Laura SORICHETTI, Prim arid Eric Jean BAPTISTE and family. All are invited to visit at the Pine Hills Visitation, Chapel and Reception Centre, 625 Birchmount Rd. (north of St. Clair Ave. E., 416-267-8229), on Sunday, January 8, 2006 from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. A service to commemorate Frank's life will he held in the Chapel on Monday at 10: 00 a.m., followed by interment with a reception at Pine Hills to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Toronto East General Hospital Foundation.

Passed away in Guelph, on Thursday, January 26, 2006, in her 74th year. Beloved wife of Tadeusz "Ted" KWIECIEN. Loved mother of Barbara (Frank) SICILIA of Guelph and Ursula (Greg) PHILPOTT of Brampton. Loving grandmother of Emily and Katherine SICILIA, and Andrea, Denise and Matthew PHILPOTT. Dear sister of Richard and George ORLANSKI. Family and Friends will be received at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home and Chapel, 206 Norfolk Street, Guelph, on Sunday 1-4 p.m. Vigil for Lee will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of Our Lady, 28 Norfolk Street, Guelph, Monday, January 30, 2006 at 10: 00 a.m. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park, Guelph. On Thursday, December 29, 2005 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, Walter ORLECKY, husband of the late Gwenyth ORLECKY (1995.) Step-father of Morton GRANT. Grandfather of Kelly, Lynne and Mark. Four great-grandchildren also survive. Dear brother of Victor (Anne) ORLECKY, David (Elsie) ORLECKI, Rosalind YOUGHANS, Nancy HAM and Helen WAITE. Predeceased by brothers John ORLECKI, Joe ORLECKI, infant brother Harry and by sisters Mary KABAGE, Lena ATHEY, Anne SMITH and Margaret ZITTEL. Walter was a Veteran of World War 2 and fought in the battle of Ortona, was a Member of Branch 51 Royal Canadian Legion and a retired Customs and Excise Officer serving in Lahr, West Germany, Ottawa and Niagara Falls. Resting at the Funeral Chapel of Hetherington and Deans, 5176 Victoria Ave., Niagara Falls, 905-354-5614, for service in the Chapel on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. In memoriam contributions to the Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Friends may call from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the service time at 11 a.m.
