Formerly of R.R.#7 Thamesville, passed away at Riverview Gardens, Chatham, on Wednesday July 12, 2006 at the age of 85. Born in Camden Township, son of the late Goldie and Ethel May SMITH) HOPPER. Beloved husband of the late Violet (PRATT) HOPPER (2001.) Loving father of Larry and Grete HOPPER of London, Gerald and Carol HOPPER of Ridgetown, Ronald and Jane HOPPER of Thamesville, Wilfred and June HOPPER of Cambridge, Linda and Gerry BAETSEN of Merlin, Sandra and Dennis CARNEGIE of Thamesville, Marilyn CARTIER and companion Tim of Chatham. Loving grandfather of 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 2 step-great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Florence STREVEL, Erie ROSS (Bill), Clair (Marg) HOPPER, Harry and Glen HOPPER, Lynn (Marg) HOPPER. Predeceased by an infant daughter, 3 grandchildren and a sister Grace OULDS. The HOPPER family will receive Friends at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, 72 Victoria Street, Thamesville on Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. and Friday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday July 15, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment Sherman Cemetery, Thamesville. Born in Montreal, Quebec on April 22, 1954. Daughter of the late Vera and Roger OULTON. Dear sister of David OULTON, (Jane) of Ottawa. Loving aunt of John, James and Saskia. She will be sadly missed by her many Friends and family, in particular her cousin Peter TOMPKINS and his wife Kelly. Mary Ellen was a graduate of the University of Western Ontario and a long time employee of Scotiabank. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. West, Toronto, (2 stoplights west of Yonge Street) on Tuesday June 13, at 7 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Aunt of Judith RUTLEDGE of Toronto, Jane McINTOSH of Ottawa, Christopher RUTLEDGE of Toronto, Bruce MacNEILL of Winnipeg, John MacNEILL of Vancouver, Bob MARLEY of Scottsdale, Bruce MARLEY of Tacoma and Robin OULTON of the Isle of Wight. Cousin of Nancy WRIGHT and David McENTYRE of Montreal, Dorothy HIERONYMOUS of Charleston, West Virginia, Bill TONN and Michael WILKENS of Houston, Margaret WILKENS of San Antonio, and Margaret PALM of Nacogdoches, Texas. Predeceased by her husband Air Vice Marshal Robert CAMERON, sister Dorothy MILLER and brother-in-law Air Chief Marshal Frank MILLER, and cousins John CREELMAN of Ottawa, Katharine (Creelie) McENTYRE, Marguerite WILLIAMS and Fred SLOCUM of Montreal, and Ann RICHTER and Jean TONN of Houston.
