WILTON. Canada's Number One Singing Cowboy, Earl worked at CKNX
Radio and Television starting in the 1940's. He composed over
350 songs including his signature song Moonlight on the Manitoulin
Island. He recorded on the RCA label. Earl was a past Executive
Director of the Stratford Musician Association a regular performer
on the CKNX Barn Dance and later toured and recorded with
the "Heywood Family". One of his many accomplishments was the
formation of the Barn Dance Historical Society. Visitation at

On March 18, 2006, after a short but valiant battle with cancer,
Mary Margaret
SKELLY, aged 83 years, slipped away peacefully
into the hands of God. Daughter of the late Robert and Esther
ANDERSON,
Mary touched the hearts of all whom she met and will
be deeply missed by William, her loving husband of 60 years,
her four children Rob, Fran (John), Joy (Bert), and Brenda (David),
her three grandchildren John, Ben and Katie, and her many Friends
in her church and community. She is predeceased by her loving
granddaughter Pauline. The deep loss of our wonderful wife, mother,
and grandmother is eased by the memories we all hold of her devotion
to us and
to God. Mary and her husband Reverend William
SKELLY
served the Presbyterian Ministry in churches in Ballyarnett,
Northern Ireland, and
in Ontario, St. Andrews in Drayton, St. Andrew's
in Thorold, Alexandra in Brantford, St. Andrews in Tillsonburg,
and Knox Presbyterian Church in Dunnville. Mary devoted her life
to serving others with kindness, grace and hospitality. A very
special thank you to the Caregivers at Princess Margaret Hospital
and Providence Health Care Centre. Visitation at the Hammond
Funeral Home and Chapel, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold, will
be held on Monday and Tuesday from 2: 00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to
9: 00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on March 22nd
at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Thorold, across the street
from Hammond Funeral Home. Interment at Lakeview Cemetery, Thorold.
