Peacefully at home in Sechelt, British Columbia, on Wednesday
March 1st, 2006, in his 82nd year. Loving husband of the late
Henny. Proud father of Martin (Betty), Eric (Kathy), Anne (Lorne
LEWIS), Richard (Karen), Bernie (Pauline) and Robert. Devoted
grandfather to Matthew (Karen), David (Rachel), William, Daniel,
Ryan, Shannon, Michael, Darryl, Anthony, John, Joey, Richelle,
Mark, Dylan, Madelyne and the late Jeff. Adoring great-grandfather
to Riley and Amber. John was born in Wales, served in the Royal
Air Force during World War 2, and moved his family to Toronto
in 1956. He retired after 30 years of service with
SKF
Canada.
He was a long-time Elder at St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church
in Scarborough. John and Henny retired to the Sunshine Coast
in 1986, where they had many happy times with their west coast
family and their gardens. Resting at the Devlin Funeral Home,
Gibson British Columbia Funeral service Saturday March 4th.
