SKWARCHUK, Helen
Passed away after a lengthy illness, at Etobicoke General Hospital, on Friday, February 24, 2006. Helen SKWARCHUK (née HAWRYSKEVICH) of Aurora and formerly of Simcoe, Oshawa and Hamilton, in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Samuel SKWARCHUK. Dear mother of Ruthann (Ronald) MacDONALD, Ester (William) NICHIPORIK, Marie (James) BLAKELEY, Joseph (Linda) SKWARCHUK, William (Joan) SKWARCHUK, Leonard (Diana) SKWARCHUK, and Russell SKWARCHUK. Dear sister of Annie (Fred) LYSIUK, Mary (Louis) NISCHUK, and predeceased by John (Jenny) and Steve HAWRYSKEVICH. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-granddaughters. Friends may call at SKWARCHUK Funeral Home, 30 Simcoe Rd., Bradford (1-800-209-4803,) for visitation on Wednesday, March 1, 2006 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and for visitation on Thursday, March 2, 2006 at the Simcoe Seventh-day Adventist Church, 56 South Dr., Simcoe, from 10 a.m. until time of a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Interment Port Dover Cemetery. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved 'Lucja', peacefully and quietly on Friday, September 15th, 2006, at home, in her 61st year, after a long battle with brain cancer. Cherished wife of 32 years to Bronislaw. Loving mother of Julia (Jastrzembski) and Martin TRAIN and the Train family, and Arthur and Rachel. Much loved Grandma (Babcia) to Caitlyn and Liam. Predeceased by her parents in Poland, Julianna and Wincenty CLAPA. Deeply missed and mourned by her Aunt and Uncle Apolonia and Waclaw MONIK, cousins Grace (MONIK) and Kent PARIS and children Alexander and Matthew, Dorothy (MONIK) and Dave BLUE and son Connor, Estella and Edmond BLANK and family. Cherished Friends Maria BOKSA and Shama SINGH and their families. She will also be deeply mourned and missed by her family and Friends in Poland, sisters Danusia SMOLAREK and Kashia SKWAREK and families Aunt Mania and family; Yolanta STOLARCZYK and Heniek YASTREMBSKI and families. YOUNG, Shirley Theresa
Peacefully at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday, April 18, 2006, in her 79th year. Beloved daughter of the late Howard YOUNG and Evelena ROBBINS. A brother and two sisters, in infancy, predeceased Shirley. Dear cousin of Condon ROBBINS, Amelia ROBBINS, Eugene BOWLES, Deanna SHANNON, Melville ROBBINS, Patricia CHILDS, Sheila SKWAROK, Barbara PAYNE, Marcia FRIMETH, Bernice BEATCH and Bernadine NASH. Predeceased by cousins: Catherine RYAN, Bernard BOWLES, John BOWLES, Frances, Christina and Raphael ROBBINS, and those of the Young family. Lovingly remembered by the many children of her cousins. Shirley will be missed by her numerous longtime Friends and associates especially Doctor John REICHERT. Shirley graduated from Saint Michael's Hospital School of Nursing in 1950. She then practised her profession for many, many years at Saint Michael's Hospital, Toronto. Gratitude is expressed to the staff, especially Sue of the Critical Care Unit of Sunnybrook Hospital and to Father Daryl MIRANDA for the kindness, care and concern given to Shirley. Shirley is resting at the Trull "North Toronto" Funeral Home and Cremation Centre (2704 Yonge Street, 5 blocks south of Lawrence), 416-488-1101. Visitation will be on Friday, April 21 2006, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Monica's Church (44 Broadway Ave., east of Yonge St.) on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment following at Saint Michael's Cemetery, Orillia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Saint Michael's Hospital.
