Passed quietly at home with loved ones by her side on Wednesday, May 25, 2006. Born in Toronto on December 26, 1932. Beloved mother of Cecil Barron JENSEN and Claire BARRON and mother-in-law of Paul JENSEN and Ed SLUGA. Joyful grandmother of Claire, Carly, Grace, Jack, and Jodie. Loving aunt to seven nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her father R. Cecil KILGOUR and mother Ruth Jackman KILGOUR and her three brothers Robert, Arthur, and Govan KILGOUR. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the many Friends who supported and cared for her, especially Melecia BARLONGO. Special thanks also to Doctor Julie McINTYRE, Marg JACKSON, and Doctor Russell GOLDMAN. Memorial Service to be held at Christ Church Deer Park, 1570 Yonge St. on Tuesday, May 30th at 2 p.m.

Of Wiarton passed away suddenly on Monday, December 18, 2006 in her 63rd year. Beloved mother of Michelle MARTIN of Toronto, Katherine (Darren) SLUGOSKI of Kitchener and Andrew (Danielle) MARTIN of Forest. Dear grandmother of Kirsten and Ryan SLUGOSKI. She will be sadly missed by her mother Vimy SINCLAIR of Owen Sound, brother Jack (Gladys) SINCLAIR of Owen Sound and sisters Jessie (Bev) CRAWFORD, Jean (Tim) COTTER and Laura (Jim) LANGFORD all of Owen Sound and Donna (Harold) QUIGLEY of Nova Scotia. Anna was predeceased by her father Archie SINCLAIR. The family will receive Friends at the George Funeral Home, Wiarton on Friday, December 22, 2006 from 2: 00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Anna's life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Beloved wife of the late Cecil SMITH. Loving mother of Shawn Patti and Pamela Mary both of Owen Sound, Penny Emma and her husband Dick LOVE of Brights Grove and Steven Guy and his wife Dale of Penetang. Lovingly remembered by her two grand_sons Eric and Craig SMITH. Dear sister of Lois SLUMSKIE and Pat and her husband Dennis WAUGH both of Owen Sound, J.H. KEELING and his wife Lois of Bognor and Ken KEELING and his wife Mary of Sarnia. Dear sister-in-law of Lois Anne, Marj and Shirley. Predeceased by three brothers Elgin, Mike and Alex. At University Hospital in London, on Thursday June 22, 2006. George ALDERMAN of Owen Sound in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Marjorie. Loving father of Marilyn STARR of Kincardine and Larry ALDERMAN and his wife Pauline of New Brunswick. Predeceased by a son Steven Craig ALDERMAN. Sadly missed by seven grandchildren and loving great-grandfather of six great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sister-in-laws, Betty SLATER, Shirley KING, Ethel SLUMSKIE and brother-in-law Doug KELLOUGH. Also sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Maude ALDERMAN. Predeceased by her parents, Edward and Madeline POWELL and her brother Ted. Long time employee of the Bank of Montreal in Toronto and elsewhere. Joan will be forever loved and remembered by her niece Dianna HARRIS and her husband John and their children Chera and Chris, her nephew Rick POWELL and his wife Anne CHANDLER, her nephew Michael POWELL and his wife Linda and their children Ryan and Erin and her sister-in-law Yvonne BALL- POWELL. Joan's memory will be cherished by her “new” family, Peter TRELFORD and his son Adam, Sally SLUMSKIE (TRELFORD) and her husband Ted and their children Kelsey and Cody. “Though we called her Joan, she was like a grandma.” At Joan's request, a service will not be held. REID, Dorothea (McCAULEY)
Peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, October 29, 2006 surrounded by the love of her family at the Country Lane Nursing Home in Chatsworth in her 85th year. The former Dorothea McCAULEY was the beloved wife of the late Ross Winson REID. She will be sadly missed by her children and their spouses Darwin and Sharon, David and Lois, Patricia and Bill SLUMSKIE. Dorothea was predeceased by a daughter Karen THORNLEY, a son-in-law: Ted THORNLEY, a granddaughter Victoria THORNLEY and a brother-in-law Frank DICKSON/DIXON. Loving sister of Jack (Aulda) McCAULEY, Ada (Ivan) CARMICHAEL, and Christina “Ruby” DICKSON/DIXON and also a sister-in-law Marjorie MURRAY. Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of her grandchildren: Jeff, Kurt, Andrew, Troy, Garit, Shane, Megan, Lauren, Kerri, and James, as well by her great-grandchildren Jackson, Avery and Lilly. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Dorothea will be remembered for her great cooking, her involvement with the Rockford Women's Institute, as a devoted member of South End Baptist Church and most memorable her generous smile that she always shared. Friends are invited to call at the Currie Funeral Home in Chatsworth for visitation on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where the funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. Pastor Howard RITTENHOUSE will officiate. In her sleep, with her husband by her side at Victoria Hospital on December 22, 2006, Edith POJAR passed away at the age of 75, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Edith will be greatly missed by Joe, her husband of 55 years, and her sister Joanne (Rudy) SLUNSKY. Fondly remembered by her niece Sylvia (Bill) MILLAR and their son Matt. A service of remembrance will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas St. E. (East of Clarke Rd). on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 3 p.m. with visitation 1 hour prior. It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Linus on Easter Saturday, April 15, 2006 at Toronto Grace Hospital, Toronto. Beloved husband of Karin. Loving father of Philipp (Fanny), Karl (Elizabeth) and Douglas (Sandra). Proud grandfather to Julian (Stacy), Lauren (Marko), Christopher, Steven, Brody, Brittany, Dylan and Taylor, all of whom will cherish the memory of their very special "Opa". Linus will forever be remembered by his extended family and his many Friends, for whom he was ever an exemplary and faithful guide. "A life well-lived" The family is extremely grateful for the overwhelming kindness and dignified care provided him by his caregivers, both at The Trillium Health Centre Intensive Care Unit (Mississauga) and the Palliative Care Unit at The Toronto Grace Hospital. Our deepest gratitude especially to his remarkable doctors: Doctor Bohdan PICH, Doctor Vladamir SLUZAR, and Doctor David SWARTZ, in whose skill and compassion Linus justifiably had absolute trust.
