Jim came to Canada 41 years ago. After many stops and adventures
along the way, Jim eventually settled in Markham, Ontario with
his beloved best friend Carol. Jim enjoyed travel, and as a race
car enthusiast, he and Friends made many a road trip to the international
venues of the sport. One of his favourite holidays was a warm
break to the Caribbean to roam the beaches and sail among the
islands. Jim was an avid reader and loved maritime history, animals,
and music. Jim's honest and gentle manner, his broad intellect,
and his keen sense of humour will colour our many fond memories.
To know Jim was to love and trust him - he was a wonderful person.
The support and compassion shown to Carol and Jim by their many
colleagues and Friends, and by the staff at the Sunnybrook Regional
Cancer Centre and the Markham-Stouffville Hospital is greatly
appreciated. In lieu of flowers, Friends and relatives can make
a donation to the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty
