Peacefully at Victoria Campus, London Health Sciences Centre with his family at his side, on Tuesday, October 17, 2006. J. Alexander (Alex) JEFFREY, age 83 years, of Saint Marys and formerly of London Twp. Beloved husband of Kathryn ((KathyTaylor)) JEFFREY and predeceased by his first wife Wilma H. (Giles) JEFFREY (1996.) Loving father of Dwain and Cathy, Gail and Bob HETHERINGTON, Nancy and Mark WARNICK, Judi and Kirk RANKIN, Brian and Janice, Perry and Susan ZIEGLER, Susan and Tracey EAGLESON, Donald and Michelle, David and Julie, Laurel and Dave BATZOLD, Michael and Nancy, Greg and Tracy, Brad and Bonnie. Proud grandfather of 42 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Bill and Lyda, Ken and Reta (deceased 2006,) Liz and Gray MONTGOMERY, Isabel and Max TYE, Bob and Donna, Hugh and Audrey, Oren and Marie ROBINSON, Keith and Ann. Predeceased by his parents William JEFFREY and the former Kathleen THISTLE and brother and sisters Peggy, Donald and Evelyn. Resting at the L.A. Ball Funeral Chapel, 7 Water St. N., Saint Marys on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Bryanston United Church (22925 Highbury Ave.) on Friday, October 20, 2006 at 1: 30 p.m. with Mr. Peter CARBERRY officiating. Interment will be in Saint Marys Cemetery. In his memory donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

HALL, Christopher Stephen (February 1967 to June 2006)
Peacefully, on Sunday, June 4th, 2006 at Toronto Western Hospital, Chris (39), succumbed to cancer after a battle fought with dignity and determination. He was surrounded by the love of his wife Lisa and his parents at the time of his passing. Dearly loved, and best friend of his wife, Lisa. Devoted and cherished father of their two sons, Ben (6) and Connor (4). He is also survived by his proud and loving parents, Don and Marlene HALL of Markham and his sister Leanne (Alwin) MASCOLL of Mississauga, as well as his Uncle Larry and Aunt Elaine of Peterborough and his Uncle Gregg and Aunt Carolyn of Bowmanville. He will be greatly missed by Lisa's parents, Barb and Frank OWCHAR of Burlington, his sisters-in-law Kelly (Steve) HINKLEY, Sherri (Edward) TYE, niece Hayley and nephew Jack, as well as several cousins and extended family. Many colleagues and Friends will mourn his passing, while celebrating having known and worked with him. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga (Hwy. 10 North of Queen Elizabeth Way) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2006. A Celebration of Chris' Life will be held in the chapel, on Monday, June 12, 2006 at 1 p.m. Cremation and interment will follow at a later date, with a private family service. For those who wish, the family would appreciate donations in memory of Chris, to the Credit Valley Hospital Foundation, 2200 Eglinton Ave. West, Mississauga, Ontario L5M 2N1. Suddenly, on Wednesday, February 8, 2006, at the Credit Valley Hospital, at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Barbara (née DODD,) loving father to son Michael David and his wife Lea HARRINGTON, daughter Maureen and her husband Jim LIPA, and daughter Dianne. Lovingly remembered by his sister Joyce PEEL and family in England, and his sister-in-law Maureen TOMPKINS and her husband Alan and family in South Africa. A private family service will be held on Tuesday. A memeorial service will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at the Oakridge Bible Chapel, 8th Line, Oakville, at 11: 00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, we would appreciate donations to cancer research through the Canadian Cancer Society.

CARTWRIGHT, Phyllis (née McCULLOUGH)
It is with great sadness, but with joy for a life well lived, that the family announces the passing of Phyllis CARTWRIGHT, in her 91st year, on Tuesday, February 14, 2006, at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington. Phyllis was a woman of great faith and walked with God her entire life. Predeceased by her husband Goldie, her brothers John and Shirley, her sisters Dorothy WRIGHT and Frances FENNELL. Fondly remembered by her sisters Amy ROCHON (Russell,) Olive TYERS (Stephen,) Sylvia ROCHON (late Philip,) Irene JOHNSON (Bryan) and brothers Bill (Grace,) Fred (Jessie) and sisters-in-law Joyce MOIR, Lillian EATON and Leila KINGSTON. She was the beloved aunt of 34 nieces and nephews. Phyllis started her teaching career in a one room school in Zimmerman (North Burlington), when a teacher's duties included making lunch for all of the students. Phyllis then taught Grade One at Strathcona Public School for decades. Many of her former students will recall saving their wiggly baby teeth for Mrs. CARTWRIGHT to pull out in a ceremony "over by the window where it never hurts".
