and Marie-Catherine; and a wealth of family and Friends. In accordance
with his wishes, a private family service was held. The family
wishes to offer its heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Community
Health Centre of Ste-Adèle and the hemodialysis service of the
Hôpital Hôtel-Dieu de St-Jérome. In lieu of flowers, donations

At the age of 89 went to be with his Lord March 9, 2006 at Springdale
Country Manor, Peterborough, Ontario. Born April 28, 1916 Centreville,
Nova Scotia. Formerly of Nova Scotia and Hampton, Ontario he
spent the last years of his life in Peterborough where he was
a member of Elim Family Worship Centre. Served in the Canadian
Army, World War 2, 1940-1946. Survived by his wife of 69 years,

On April 4, 2006, following a brief but inexorable illness that
ended a life rich in experiences and achievements. Born in Latvia
on August 2, 1924, exiled to Sweden in 1944, then to Canada in
1950, where she fulfilled her goals to study music and literature
at the same time remaining devoted to her immediate and extended
family. Aina graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Music as
well as the University of Toronto, taught music in Toronto and
Burlington and published many books of poetry and prose that
were acclaimed in her native Latvia and abroad. She will be fondly
remembered by her daughter Dace
