Peacefully at Trillium Ridge Care Centre, Kingston on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 in her 91st year. Loving mother of Donald PETTIT (Barb SWAIL,) British Columbia. Loving mother-in-law of Lynn JONES (Roger,) Gananoque. Cherished grandmother of Michelle MOULTON (Brad) and Jennifer GALAMBOS (Mike) and great-grandmother of Jeremy, Rachel and Austin MOULTON and Christopher, Michaela and Emma GALAMBOS. Sister of Helen GORDON, Florida, and sister-in-law of Betty CRAWFORD, London, Ontario. Predeceased by husbands Austin PETTIT and Raymond MacDIARMID, son Jim PETTIT, and sisters Ene PATERSON and Betty HEALEY. The family will receive Friends at The Tompkins Funeral Home, 63 Garden Street, Gananoque on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held from our Chapel on Friday, June 9 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment Longwoods Cemetery Melborne, Ontario. Died peacefully while at Lakeshore Lodge, Etobicoke, Ontario on Thursday, December 21, 2006, at the age of 83. Jocelyn will be sadly missed by her immediate family which included her three children and their spouses, Peter ARCHIBALD (Barbra,) Jane ARCHIBALD (Andy SEAMAN,) Joan RAYMOND (Bill,) her eight grandchildren Dana ZUBER, Nicole ANTONY, Alfie and Doug SEAMAN, Billy, Alex, Christopher and Andrew RAYMOND, her great-grand_son Declan ZUBER and her three nephews Bill, Gord and John McDIARMID. Predeceased by her husband Raymond Douglas ARCHIBALD, her parents William and Edna (nee STIDSTON) YULE and sisters Edna SCOTT, Sylvia EIX and Joan McDIARMID. Jocelyn was a beautiful and vibrant person whose genuine interest in people and things touched all her family and many Friends. Peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, January 19th, 2006 at the Scarborough Grace Hospital at the age of 75. Beloved wife of the late Ross. Dearly loved mother of Craig, Karen, Lynne (Greg WUERTH), Dianne and Elaine (Dave McDIARMID). Dear grandma of Jill, Erica, Kylie, and Cameron. Dear sister of Marg BLAKE and the late Audrey WATERS. Fondly remembered by her Friends. BROWN, John Hartley
Suddenly, on Monday, January 30, 2006, at his home in Courtenay, British Columbia Hartley, at 53 years of age, beloved husband of Cheryl (WARNKE,) and father to Arielle Julia, age 2. son to John T. BROWN and his wife Lyn FORBES of Toronto. Predeceased by his mother Bette J. BROWN. Brother to Pamela (Gary) McDIVITT of Bala, Angela (Brian) WALSH of Rye, New York and Cameron BROWN of Toronto. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews and by Cheryl's family from Alberta and Connecticut. A funeral to celebrate Hartley's life was held on Saturday, February 4th in Courtenay. A memorial service will be held this summer at his family cottage in Bala, Muskoka. A bursary fund has been set up in Hartley's memory. Donations may be made to the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Program, 1885 West Broadway, Vancouver, British Columbia V6J 1Y5.
