Loving father of Ruth HEWITSON and her husband Philip of Waterloo; Donna McLACHLIN of Guelph; Beverly WEIRMEIR and her husband Robert of Elmwood and Nancy McLACHLIN of Edmonton, Alberta. Dear brother of Kenneth McLACHLIN and his wife June of Cabri, Saskatchewan; Margaret SMITH, Shirley EMON and Ruth JAMES all of Calabogie and Janet McNULTY and her husband William of Burnstown. Predeceased by his son-in-law Larry WEEKS and his brother Ross McLACHLIN. Also loved by his 6 grandchildren Stephen and Michael HEWITSON; Andrew HEWITSON and his wife Niki; Natalie and Daniel WEIRMEIR and his step grand_son Rick WEIRMEIR and his wife Tracy as well as his great-grand_son Jesse. Glenn will also be missed by his in-laws Art and Betty OLIVER and his sister-in-law Mildred JARVIS as well as many nieces and nephews. Loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Aubrey is survived by his brother Frank YOUNG. As the result of an impulsive moment Adam died tragically on Friday, April 21, 2006, at 18 years of age. Adam was dearly and deeply loved by his parents Bill and Joanne (née PUGH) BAILEY. He was the brother of Mandy and her soon to be husband Tyson PETTINGER. Grandson of Frank and the late Joy PUGH and Bill and Norma BAILEY. He will be missed by his aunts and uncles Sue and Cedric FRUDD, Sandra and Len HARRISON, Frank LONG, Rick LONG, Ron and Darlene BAILEY, Jan and Joe McNULTY, John and Leslie LONG and Ann NEWMAN along with his many cousins. Survived and much loved by daughters Dorothy POLUKOSHKO of Vancouver, Peg (Barry SMITHSON) of Genelle, British Columbia; sons Bill (Linda RIZZATO) of Port Alberni, Bob (Linda BROWN) of Kelowna and grand_sons Thor POLUKOSHKO (Chelsea CROOKS) of Vancouver, Karl POLUKOSHKO (Chelsea SHIMELL) of Penticton, William Rizzato BROWN of Port Alberni. Also, step-grandchildren Shawn ESKITT (Courtney and their daughter Hunter) and Terry SMY (Jim and their sons Austin and Dorian). Also, sisters Muriel (George GROOME) of Montreal, Effie KIMMERLY of Oshawa, Grace HARRIS of London, Ontario, Leslie McNUTT of Banff, brother John (Shirley SAMPSON/SAMSON) of Coles Island, New Brunswick and brother-in-law Walter LOGAN of Regina plus many nieces and nephews. Born in Toronto July 5, 1925 Tom's journey through life was rich and varied rising out of his passion and commitment to the United Church and his vision of hope using his skills of sharing and teaching. He was an agriculturist, journalist, facilitator and adult educator. Tom was most in his element when he was surrounded by people working towards a common goal. Along his life's road, Tom formed countless deep and lasting relationships and touched the lives of people all over the world. A memorial service will be held at First United Church 721 Bernard Ave. in Kelowna on Thursday March 2nd at 1: 00 p.m. with Reverend Helen Hobbs and Rev. Walter Logan officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First United Church or the British Columbia Cancer Agency. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted with care to Westwood Funeral Chapel.
