LAKE, Mary Isabelle Margaret (née HUNTER)
Mary Isabelle Margaret; dearly loved wife of Gerald, faded away peacefully surrounded by her family, at Saint_Joseph's Health Centre, on Wednesday night, December 26, 2007. Daughter of the late Victor and Luella HUNTER. Dear sister of Etta (Kenneth CURREY,) Daniel HUNTER (Pearl,) the late Ralston HUNTER (Björg,) the late Marilyn (Donald BELFRY) and Marlene (Ib AMONSEN.) Fondly remembered by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Long-time resident of Toronto, born in Simcoe County, Ontario, part-time resident of Muskoka. Will be missed by her many P.E.O. sisters and neighbours. Dedicated worker at Eglinton United most recently a member of Kingsway Lambton United Church. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel 2357 Bloor St. W. at Windermere east of the Jane subway from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. A Service to Celebrate Isabelle's Life will be held in the Chapel on Monday December 31, 2007 at 1 p.m. Cremation, with interment at Glendale Memorial Gardens. Suddenly near his home at Flesherton on Sunday, December 31, 2006 in his 91st year. Beloved and devoted husband of Jessie ARMSTRONG. Loving father of Bonnie (Wayne) AMOS of Markdale and Arthur (Carole) SHIRLEY of Brewster's Lake. Cherished grandfather of Allison (Darryl) McCRACKEN, Kevin (Johanne LAPORTE) AMOS, Trevor, Brent and Justin Shirley and great-grandfather of Noah and Kole. Dear brother of Dorothy STEELE of Toronto and the late Lillian JEFFRIES, Ward, Bill, Delia LAWRENCE, Mona COMMON and John. The family will receive Friends at the Fawcett Funeral Home, Flesherton on Wednesday, January 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service will be held at Saint_John's United Church, Flesherton on Thursday, January 4 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, Orangeville. In Meaford on Friday January 5, 2007 at the age of 79. Jeanne KEARNS, beloved wife of Walter KEARNS of R.R.#1 Meaford. Loving mother of Margaret PICHNEJ of Calgary and Douglas KEARNS of Meaford. Sadly missed Nana of Paige and Alison HILDERMAN of Calgary. Predeceased by sisters June WARD of Peterborough and Margaret AMOS of Markham and survived by a brother-in-law John AMOS of Markham. Also predeceased by sisters-in-law Beatrice KEARNS, Marion MacDONALD- McNAIR, and Velma THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON and fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews and their families. Family will receive Friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home, 48 Boucher St. E. in Meaford on Sunday afternoon from 1 until 3 p.m. A family funeral service, officiated by Pastor Bruce JONES, will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday January 8, 2007 with interment and committal at Lakeview Cemetery to follow. Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Thursday, January 4th, 2007, Archie William KENNEDY of Ailsa Craig, Ontario in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Viola May (EEDY) KENNEDY (2001.) Dear father of Elaine and Don STEBBINS of Hensall, Jean and Allen AMOS, Shirley and Lorne MacGREGOR and Audrey McADAM all of Ailsa Craig. Dearly loved grandfather of Bill and Diane STEBBINS, Kim APPS (Mike), Jeff AMOS (Jody), Cathy TALBOT (Brian), Angela AMOS (Brandon), Amanda AMOS (Adrian), Tim MacGREGOR (Trina), Ian MacGREGOR (Susan), Pam KACZMARCZYK (Kevin) and Tammy GREGORY (Scott) and 15 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Elaine SANDERSON of London. Predeceased by brothers Ferg, Colin and Dave. Resting at the T. Stephenson and son Funeral Home, Ailsa Craig, where the funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 7th, at 3 p.m. with Rev. Kate BALLAGH- STEEPER officiating. Interment Nairn Cemetery. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday. A Masonic Service under the auspices of Craig Lodge #574 will be held on Saturday evening at 6: 30 p.m. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the charity of choice would be appreciated. PROCTOR, Muriel Grace
Peacefully in hospital at Bracebridge on October 7, 2007 in her 92nd year. Muriel was a devoted daughter of the late Edward and Grace PROCTOR and sister of Ted PROCTOR and the late Marjorie AMOS. Beloved Aunt Muriel to Paul, Bruce, Robert and Janet AMOS and to John, Joyce and Debbie (Quinajon) PROCTOR. Aunt Muriel will be missed by all of her extended family. Muriel graduated in nursing at Toronto General Hospital in 1939 and made a career as a public health nurse with the Toronto Children's Aid Society for over 30 years. Burial of her ashes will take place in the spring in her beloved Muskoka. A memorial service will be held at Oriole-York Mills United Church, 2609 Bayview Avenue on Saturday, October 20 at 5: 00 p.m. and Friends may visit with the family from 4: 00 to 5:00 p.m. at the church.
