ARNOLD, Hazel Irene (née SNELL)
Peacefully at Shelburne Residence on Thursday, January 4, in her 93rd year. Loving wife of the Elwood. Devoted mother of Nelson and his wife Marie, Bill and his wife Aileen, Janice and her husband Neil SIM, Harold and his wife Beverly. Cherished grandmother of Steve, Ross, Merran, Jane Pamela, Anita, Sandy, Ian, Richard and great-grandchildren Isaac, Ethan, Levi, Silas, Samaria, Luke, Jake, Stella, Meghan and Kyle. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. The family received Friends at the Doney Funeral Home, Shelburne on Friday. The funeral service was held in the chapel on Saturday January 6, 2007 at 11 a.m. Interment at the Shelburne Cemetery. Donations to the charity of your choke.

Passed away at the Hanover Care Centre on Sunday, October 14, 2007, Margaret CULLITON, the former Margaret REICH, beloved wife of the late James CULLITON of Ayton, at the age of 85 years.
Dear mother of Paul CULLITON of Clifford, Josephine MacKENZIE and husband Gerry of Waterloo, Peter CULLITON of Normanby Township, Teresa PLANTZ and husband Glenn of Normanby Township, Marion PLANTZ and husband Larry of Waterloo, Thomas CULLITON and friend Lisa NEWTON of Ayton and Maurice CULLITON and friend Karen HINSPERGER of Hanover.
Also survived by 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, three sisters, Rose BENNINGER of Durham, Dorothy MEYER and Lee of Hanover and Antoinette REICH of Tavistock, and one sister-in-law, Ann HORRIGAN of Toronto. Predeceased by two sisters, MaryAnn ARNOLD and Sylvia ELLIG, five brothers, Alex, Frederick, Mike, Jerome and Joseph REICH, one daughter-in-law, Sandra, one sister-in-law, Marcella REICH, and three brothers-in-law, Cornelius BENNINGER, Oscar ARNOLD and Clarence ELLIG.
Friends were received at the Garrett Funeral Chapel in Neustadt until the morning of Wednesday, October 17, 2007, then to Saint Peter's Catholic Church, Ayton for funeral mass at 11 a.m. Interment Saint Peter's Catholic Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Billy McBRIDE, Mike PLANTZ, Ryan PLANTZ, Jamie CULLITON, Aaron CULLITON and Mark MacKENZIE. The flower bearers were Angela HUGHES, Kate PLANTZ, Kim PLANTZ, Scott CULLITON and David CULLITON.

Carol, born in Toronto, graduated from Havergal College and Trinity College. She had a successful career as a biographer and writer in Toronto and Vancouver. She was an artist in every sense of the word.

Born June 19, 1907 in Belmont Township to John ANDERSON and Elizabeth WHITNEY. Predeceased by siblings Grace (Allan DAFOE, Ole OLSON), Mary (Frank McKAY), Laura (William PATTERSON,) Isaac (Josephine HOFFMAN,) Irene (Archie Bell CAMPBELL,) Randall (Thelma ASHBY,) and Jane and Clifford who both died young. Dear aunt of Jean (DAFOE) LAKE, U.E., Conrad DAFOE and Lois (McKAY) NOYES, all of Peterborough, Clare McKAY of Belmont Lake, Beverley (ANDERSON) ARNOLD of Newmarket, John CAMPBELL of Aurora, Scott ANDERSON and Joyce (ANDERSON) POST, both of Norwood, Ian ANDERSON of Manitoulin Island and Josephine PERCIVAL of England. Predeceased by nephews Warden (Doc) DAFOE and Clifford (Bud) ANDERSON. Also survived by 32 great-nieces and nephews, 13 great-great nieces and nephews and 4 great-great-great nieces and nephews.
Josephine was an elementary school teacher, teaching in Peterborough, Northumberland and North York counties, for 30 years.
After retirement in December 1971, she and her husband spent 26 winters at their home in Bradenton, Florida. There they enjoyed entertaining their snowbird relatives and Friends.
Josephine moved from Scarborough to Peterborough in October 2004. Resting at the Brett Funeral Chapel, Havelock, Ontario (705) 778-2231 with visiting on Sunday December 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service in the Chapel on Monday, December 3rd at 2: 30 p.m., Reverend Gloria MASTER and Reverend Kate McLARTY officiating. Passed away at St. Andrew's Terrace, Cambridge, on Saturday, December 1, 2007 in his 80th year. George Alan BEAL was born March 14, 1928 in Orillia, grew up in North Bay, and lived in Toronto, Brantford and Cambridge. Loving and cherished husband of Bernice BEAL. Devoted father of Tim BEAL and his wife Leslie ERSKINE, Anne Marie STUBLEY, Patti ARNOLD and her husband Steve, Sue STUBLEY, Tom BEAL and his wife Heather WHITTINGTON. Special grandfather of Kris BEAL, Jayme BEAL and his wife Ester, Robyn BEAL, Lisa GRIVALSKY, Stephanie ARNOLD, Jessica ARNOLD, and Veronica Whittington BEAL and great-grandfather of four great-grandchildren. George was the captain of both the North Bay basketball and football team and led them both to Northern Ontario Championships. George was the Past President of the Galt Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce, Past Dealer of Home Hardware, Cambridge and Canadian Tire where he was also the Director, as well as the Director for Friends of the Environment. Cremation has taken place.
