Peacefully in Montreal, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, June 21, 2007. Beloved wife of the late William. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Irene DEVINE (Paul HALPERN,) Joyce ASTER (Sidney,) David BERCOVITCH (Terri DASH.) Bubbie Annie of Glenna DEVINE (John THOW,) Karen DEVINE (Andrew TUCKER;) Andrea ASTER (Charles GRANEK), Dylan ASTER (Laura PRIPSTEIN); Adam BERCOVITCH, Amanda BERCOVITCH. Special Great-Grandmother of Lucas, and Lindsay THOW and Jaden TUCKER. Sister and sister-in-law of the late Louis LEBNER (Sylvia,) the late Ida MARGOLIS (the late Sam.) Ann will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, family and Friends. Funeral service took place on Sunday, June 24 at Paperman and Sons, Montreal. At the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound Thursday afternoon August 9, 2007. Smokey ELLIOT/ELLIOTT of Oliphant formerly of Thorold and Port Colborne in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Anne (GANTSCHNIG) and the late Joyce (ASTLES.) Dear father of Larry of Thorold, Bill (Dianne) of Sarnia, Wayne (Patti) of R.R.#3, Bayfield, Bryan (Lori) of Port Colborne and Bruce of Goderich. Loving grandfather of Dylan, Kyle, Bill, Matthew, John, Wendi, Laura, Taylor and great-grand_son Nick. Brother of Loreen CHEVALIER and Bob ELLIOT/ELLIOTT both of Port Colborne. Predeceased by his sisters Isobel COOK, Thyra SOUCY and brothers Jim and Steve ELLIOT/ELLIOTT. Smokey began sailing in 1943 with Scott Misener Steamships, served 26 years as Captain and retired in 1986 as Commodore of the Fleet. Friends may call at the Downs and son Funeral Home Hepworth Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Wiarton Monday morning at 11: 00 a.m. Interment Balsam Grove Cemetery, Oliphant. Expressions of remembrance to the Wiarton Hospital or the Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound would be appreciated. Peacefully on Monday June 25, 2007 at the Creedan Valley Leisureworld Nursing Home, Creemore in her 86th year. Mageliona of Wasaga Beach, beloved wife of the late Zigmas. Loving mother of Victor and his wife Cindy ROGERS of Wasaga Beach. Dear sister of Mindaugas (Sofia) PUTRIMAS of Toronto and Claudia of Lithuania. Mageliona will be missed by her extended family: Irene, Al and Alex VITKUS, Vida and Al KAZLAUSKIS, Eileen ASTRAUSKAS, John and Edita PUTRIMAS and family, Ed REKESIUS and family, Monsignor Ed PUTRIMAS and the Rogers family. Mageliona received wonderful care from so many during her illness, especially from Doctor A. SINGH, Doctor B. NICHOLS, the staff of the geriatric ward at the General and Marine Hospital, Collingwood and the staff of Creedan Valley - Leisureworld who lovingly provided care. The family wish to thank their Friends from the Lithuanian Parish of the Good Shepherd for their Friendship and love during this time. Friends were received at the Carruthers and Davidson Funeral Home, 7313 Highway 26 (Main Street), Stayner (705-428-2637) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
