and nieces Sandy, Lindsey and Courtney and their husbands and
her nephew Greg and his wife. Though her life was cut short,
we remember the gifts that Roseline brought to us and the profound
impact she had on the lives of so many. Roseline impressed and
amazed those she touched by her magical zest for life, her curiosity,
energy, fresh perspective and her remarkable creativity. She
had a unique ability to make every day and moment count and was
a genuine example of living each day to the fullest. A generous,
selfless and kind spirit, she was always there to offer her love
and Friendship without expectation or recognition. Her smile
would light up a room. Her infectious enthusiasm would light
up other people. And her ability to see the humour in things
would put every one at ease. You couldn't help but soak up the
sunshine she radiated. A successful business woman who turned
her attention to raising Carmen, she continued to express her
creative side through her many hobbies and interests. And no
matter where she applied that creativity, it left people awestruck.
Loving everything Mother Nature offered, Roseline was at peace
nurturing the soil and creating exquisite beauty in her gardens.
They reflected who she was - beauty, vibrancy and happiness.
For the two and half years she valiantly battled health challenges,
she was unrelentingly positive, unfailingly optimistic and remained
focused on the needs of others. Her strength, courage and conviction
will be a lasting inspiration for those that knew and loved her.
She will be sorely missed by all but will never be forgotten
by anyone who had the privilege of being touched by her. The
family is extremely grateful for the care and compassion provided
by Doctor Paul Sugar. A memorial service will be held on Monday,
November 12th, at 2: 30 p.m. at St. David's United Church at 1525 Taylor
Way, West Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made
to the British Columbia Cancer Foundation for Colorectal Research
in memory of Roseline
STURDY.
